"You know when you first meet someone and you think they're just another person, just another person to know. But then you get to know them and eventually you look back on that first day and think 'Wow, I never would've thought they'd be so important to me.'"
"Yeah."
"That's what it's like with you."

Another loud clap of thunder sounded causing Brielle to let out a small scream.
“308, 308, 308...” She muttered repeatedly trying to calm down looking for her next classroom.
She looked down at her schedule to make sure she was searching for the correct room.
Not paying attention to where she was going, Brielle turned a corner and smashed right into someone and once again screamed.
“Woah, calm down.” The person she bumped into said. They grab both of her arms to steady her from almost falling.
“I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to, I wasn’t paying attention…” She trailed off as she looked up and was met with piercing deep brown eyes.
He smirked when he noticed her staring at him.
“Don’t worry, you’re not the first one to get lost in my eyes.” He said with a wink.
Brielle was blushing furiously as she took a step back from him and looked anywhere but at him.
“I-I wasn’t-”
“No need for excuses.” He held up his hand to say stop. “Now, where are you going? Class started ten minutes ago so you must be lost.”
“Uh, room 308. I’m new here so I have no idea where I’m going.” She glanced at him quickly then looked away immediately when he saw her staring at her.
“Well, you my friend…” He looked at her expectantly.
“Brielle.” She filled in for him.
“Right. Well, you my friend Brielle, are heading in the wrong direction.” He informed her, emphasizing Brielle.
“Okay, so where should I-” Brielle asked feeling nervous under the pressure of talking to such an attractive guy. Her old school never had people that looked like him.
“Attention all students, teachers, and staff.” An urgent voice spoke over the loud speaker interrupting Brielle. “Please stop what you are and calmly proceed to the farthest wall away from windows in the room you are in. Students in the hallways or bathrooms, please report to the closest classroom and stay with them until further notice.”
“A tornado warning has been announced in our area and we must take the necessary steps to keep all our students safe. Until further notice, follow these directions and stay safe.”
The voice stopped and a panicked Brielle looked at the guy in front of her.
“What do we do?!” She asked on the verge of freaking out.
“Relax, we’ll just find the closest classroom like they said. Come on.” He grabbed her arm and started walking in the direction Brielle had come from.
After a few steps, the lights suddenly went out and everywhere was filled with darkness.
Brielle screamed once again and out of reflex held tightly onto the boy’s arm.
“Jeez! What is with you and the screaming?” He said irritated.
“What do we do?!” Brielle was now in full panic mode. It was her first day of public school and things were not going as she had planned.
