"Sophia Marsh went missing nearly four months ago after sneaking out of her room late at night. The town has been relentless searching for this young, 17 year old with no luck. Police released a statement today saying that the search will continue, but may not reveal a happy ending. Statistics show that most abductions only last about a month and a half before the person is recovered, dead or alive. But the Marsh family is hopeful their daughter will be returned." He turns off the TV, fuming. His fist pounds the couch once, twice, three times before he growls in frustration.
"She's mine now." He whispers, breathing heavy. He stands from the couch and leaves the room to find his favorite girl, not that he had to look very hard. Quickly he presses his favorite button and the red "Recording" button burns red above the door. When he opens the door she doesn't even flinch, not like she used to, and his frustration dissipates.
"Welcome back." She greets, a smile etched into her perfect features. He kneels down beside her, slowly reaching one finger under her chin and lifts her head up ever so slightly.
"Did you miss me?" She nods her head up and down, knowing that words are too much of an answer. He sits down behind her and wraps his arms around her shoulders, and for the first time she relaxes into his embrace.
"I love you." She whispers like the words are stolen from someone else's mouth.
"Good." He tightens his grip around her and her breath hitches in her throat. She presses her eyes closed, preparing herself for what's next. "Now be a good girl and scream for me."
