Chapter 2: Blank thoughts

~SEVEN MONTHS LATER~

Walking under the cold rain alone, feeling lonely in a strange world

A place which became like a cell holding me back and caging me with fear that I'm being watched every time

I could hardly talk to anyone or make friends, it felt almost impossible for me to associate myself with "other creatures" as I call them

I couldn't see anyone as a human being , all I could see were cruel, ruthless people who had demons within them waiting to be unleashed

People claiming to love each other, caring for one another and putting up an angelic face to the world.........

To me all those seemed useless, pointless, stupid and a waste of time

I had no time for love, feelings nor emotions just vengeance, loneliness ; A huge void had been created in my life.

Suddenly , my head starts banging, I decided to take a break from my thoughts to watch a movie

I had plans on watching the movie called Midnight Sun; though it was a romantic movie, it seemed like something that could calm me down

I went to get some tickets from the booth and then it happened;

"Urgggg!!!!!", I exclaimed;

I was hit by someone, a guy who had a fierce look, tall, handsome,cute and also had a sexy tattoo on his chest and arm to go with it

He seemed like one of those hot bad guys that were always chased by girls like the ones in the movies

He was really attractive but still none of that mattered to me

"Are u okay"? He asked with a charming voice that triggers its listener

"I'm fine" I said in a cold tone

As soon as I wanted to walk out of him he called out to me

"Heyy!!"

"You dropped your tickets, looks like we're going to see the same movie , want a drink to pass time while waiting?"

I turned back looking at him in a strange way, it's been seven months since anyone asked me that question

I took it as an opportunity and took up his offer

"Sure" I replied

He gave a heart warming smile and told me to follow him

He took me to a bar down town where I met some of his friends and their girlfriends

Turns out that we were in the same college together

But still I wasn't comfortable around him it became the first time in seven months since I socialized with people.... strangers precisely

He tried to talk to me by asking me some questions like

"What's my name"?

"What am I doing alone"?

And all sorts of stuffs like that

I ignored him and gave him a stare which boldly stated " back off or shut the fuck off"

Noticing my attitude towards it

He gave a light smile

He offered me a drink and I took some shots after all I needed to clear my head

"What's your story?" He asked

"What's your business?" I responded

"So your a hard nut" He said

I gave a mysterious smirk and said

"My name's Katie, what's yours"?

"Nice name.
I'm Jaden but my friends call me jay" he said

"Don't expect me to call you Jay" I replied

"Wasn't hoping on that" he said with a tender voice

"What'd you around here"? I asked

Out of nowhere one of his friends said

"We party"

"Hi, I'm kelly "she said stretching her hand towards me

"Hey, I'm Katie "I responded stretching out my hand towards hers for a shake

But I was stopped by Jaden who for some reasons didn't want me to shake her

Jaden held my hand and brought it towards him

The moment Jaden held my hand I felt a strange shock

And from that moment, I knew things weren't gonna be the same again

But still I had one question why did Jaden pull my hand back??
