I watched as James swept Hallie off her feet, she couldn't have been happier, giggling as James kissed her he couldn't help but to smile at her. Hallie was probably one of the most perfect girls you could ever meet; she was the type of girl that was loved by everyone. Hallie and James had been in love with each other since they were little, however it wasn't until a couple months ago they realized they shared the same feelings and were now together, happy as ever. Only I knew the reason behind their separation, and of course the guys knew too, but ever since that dreaful night we've vowed to never speak in detail of the incident, it would forever be our little secret.
Of course, secrets never remain hidden, now do they?
That night, Hallie had followed me and she'd seen everything, I screamed at her to leave, but she refused. How foolish. We tried to protect her from him, but darkness had consumed her, turning her into one of us, the cruel and murderous. Everything was going well until she made that stupid mistake. The guys had abandon us that night, leaving me to follow her into the shadows. Before I was even close to approaching her I heard her scream, loud and shrill. That was when I saw Hallie, but it was too late to do anything. She was dead, her body lying cold and limp against the trunk of a large oak tree.
Being the little Prince Charming he was, James raced into the shadows after us, following the sound of Hallie's cry. After he reached us he froze at the sight of her, a single tear slid down his face before he collapsed to the ground beside her and began to sob over her.
"I love you, Hallie." his whispered, barely loud of enough for me to hear. The sight of this young, kindhearted male in the state he was in was heartbreaking. I sat down beside him, attempting to comfort him as well as I could. Snake and Skylar came to get me, leaving James by himself.
"Come on, Angel. Give him some time alone with her." Snake spoke to me, calling me by my nickname. I reluctantly got up and followed them. It was only a few days later when they abandon me; abandon me for what seemed like eternity. Ever since then, I never forgave them for what they did, they didn't deserve my forgiveness; I blamed them for the death of my best friend. Hallie was just fine before she became one of us and now she was dead. All I knew was that The Ravens betrayed me and I would never trust them again... Or so I thought.
