The sun beat down on Jenning’s Park, not a single could could be found in the sky. Our school had gotten permission from the park rangers to rent out the park for a few hours for the senior class’ graduation.

The chairs were set up in two sections; one for the graduation class, and one for the supporting friends and family. They were set in row before a large stage with a microphone that people would be speaking at. Honestly, I had no idea how they had gotten everything into the park on such short notice.

Like usual, my mum and dad had gotten there early. They were standing with Calum’s parents and trying to have a conversation, ut every once and awhile, one of them would say something snarky that would usually start a fight at home. I could tell that they were trying to keep composed for my sake, but they were still annoying the hell out of each other.

Calum and I were standing underneath one of the trees which was against both of our mothers’ wishes, because they were afraid we were going to get our robes dirty.

"After today, after they hand us that diploma," He said. "We’ll be going off the college and starting a whole new part of our lives."

"I know," I replied. "But we did all agree that we were going to find jobs in the city, and go to community college, so then we can keep the team together.”

"I’m not even going to college, though. I’m going to move out and start living at the hideout." Calum took off his cap and turned it over a few times in his hands.

"Why shouldn’t you? I mean, it’s a pretty great idea. I might even have to come join you."

"As long as you give me the space I need when Belly is over."

"Deal."

I then saw her across the law. She was with her sister and speaking to Mrs. Patron and her husband that we’ always thought she’d lied about having. She was wearing bright red lipstick and had her dark hair curled.

She spotted me then and I could see a smile creep up onto her face as she took off running towards me. I ran to her and we met in the middle. She jumped on me and I fell into the grass with her on top of me.

"Hi," I chuckled.

"Hello," She giggled back.

"Are you ready to graduate?" I asked.

She nodded, “Then we’ll be free.”

"We could live together, you know."

"Where would we live?"

"The hideout of course!"

She just smiled and then got off of me, “I’ll have to think about it. But it’s most likely a yes.”

I heard Belly’s excited shrieks as she ran over to Calum. I watched then kiss underneath the tree.

"Are you ready for your speech?" I asked her.

"I’m nervous, but yes," She nodded at me. I stood up and then helped her up.

"Are you ready for our last few hours as seniors?" I grabbed her hand and pulled her towards me, then kissed her.

She just smiled, “Bring it on.”

I sat in the crowd with Bri next to me, the rest of the guys and their girls were all down our row. Meg was fumbling with her notecards, she looked so nervous for her speech. All of the student and families were now there, and our principle, Mr. Brownstein came up to the microphone.
