It has been a year. A year since he left me. A year since i had last smiled.
My life had been perfect. But that one day had changed everything.
"Chalo na kahi bahar chalte hai. Mausam bhi kitna khoobsoorat hai aur yaha aap hai ki laptop se nazar hi nai hat rahi aapki"
"Bohot raat ho gayyi hai. Itni raat ko bahar jaana safe nahi hai jaan"
"Please na" she pouted.
He sighed. "Ok fine but zyada door nahi jayenge ok"
"Ok" She kissed him ever so lovingly.
They were walking hand in hand, talking, flirting and enjoying the chilly weather of the night.
"Chalo na ice cream khate hai"
"No jaan all the ice cream shops are closed and i am not going to take you far. We will have it tomorrow. Lets head back home."
"Aree mujhe ek ice wala pata hai jo iss waqt khula hoga. Lets go"
"But jaan..."
They were in a lonely street having their ice cream and heading back home when all of a sudden 4 men surrounded them.
"Ahaa itni khubsoorat ladki ko kaha leke jaa rahe ho zara hume bhi toh le chalo hum bhi thode maze kar le" one of the men said eyeing her whole body with lust.
"Dekiye hume jaane dijiye. Hume aapse koi ladai nai karni" he said
"Toh chalo deal karte hai. Tum ek raat ke liye isse humare paas chod do. Kal aake le jaana. Kyun bhaiyo" another man said and all the four started laughing.
She had clug to him and cluched his hand very tight. They tried moving but they did not let them move an inch.
This made him angry and he left her hand and all of them started fighting. She tried pushing one of them but instead he pushed her hard and she fell. She found a phone and was almost going to call when one of the men caught her and threw the phone away. She tried to release herself from his hold but to no vain. Suddenly one of the men pulled out a knife and killed him. He killed her husband in front of her eyes and she could do nothing. She heard some noices around her but did not know what was happening as she had fainted.
Guit. Yes she was guilty because somewhere she thought it was her fault. She had clinged to his memories not letting him go either. All these thoughts were making her dizzy and the next thing she knew she had fainted.
It was dark all around. She felt him beside her. But before she could say something he said,
"Jaane de mujhe. Please let me go. My soul is restless. It can never be in peace until you let me go.Let me go.. Let me go with a beautiful smile and a guilt free heart. Jaane de mujhe"
She opens her eyes with a beautiful smile saying
"Jaane diya meine tumhe. I let you go"
