No Worries

In a slightly typical 'Allen' fashion, he neglected to remember that he was not the only one in the relationship. While he was gone, Oliver had missed him so dearly that he turned to the next best thing for comfort...his own baking.

"T-They were just so tempting, and I-I was just so lonely and bored...now look at me!!" Oliver moaned, covering his slightly rounder face with delicate chubby fingers. The normal combination of a light colored dress-shirt underneath a well-fitting vest with slacks was replaced with a dismally colored pair of sweatpants stolen from Allen's side of the dresser. The man looked inconsolable-- he refused to look Allen in the eyes and continued to let out the occasional sniffle or whine.

Seeing the normally bright and cheery young man look so hopeless gave Allen a strong feeling of discomfort, and he knew immediately that he would have to fix this up or he would never get the cuddles he craved.

Realistically, he had no problem with it. Oliver was always going to be Oliver, no matter how much weight he gained or what he did with his hair or whatever. Chubby Oli was actually...really cute. The curves that the originally lean man now had were poorly hidden beneath the folds of the sweatshirt and Allen could already envision how warm and comfortable it would be to hold him as he read or drank his tea.

Nice.

He needed to help Oliver see that it was just a small setback, and that he shouldn't be so upset over it. Bracing himself for the conversation, Allen slowly sunk into the seat nearest Oliver at their kitchen table and tried to look Oliver in the eyes through the gaps in his fingers.

"Oli, you look totally fine still. There's nothing wrong being a little heavier. Your baking is damn good too. I would have eaten myself silly too."

Distraught blue eyes looked into crimson ones for the first time, and Allen felt his breath hitch. Maybe he shouldn't have cursed; he know Oliver hates it (despite dating the modern day equivalent of a pirate).

"I-I can barely fit my old clothes, Al. I ripped almost all of my favorite vests trying to find something to wear today!!" Oliver hiccuped, his eyes beginning to water again.

Shit.

"H-hey, it's okay, we can just...try and put those back together! And maybe we can..workout or something together to help you lose the weight. It isn't permanent, yeah?" Allen supplied, grimacing at the lack of confidence in his voice. "Besides, i'm here now. We don't have to worry about you being bored or anything anymore and we can spend all day together. I'm off work for a week since the whole trip was way longer than planned. Guess the dicks felt bad about keeping me out there."

Oliver's eyes narrowed a bit at the harsh language but quickly softened again at the promise of time spent together. "y-you think so...? I..I missed you so much." He mumbled, fidgeting with his hands in his lap.

Allen melted in his seat right there. Reaching forward quickly he pulls Oliver into him in a hug that he hopes conveys all of the emotions he was feeling. "Of course. I'm all yours now. I missed you too, y'know."

Sniffing one last time, Oliver hugs back tight before pulling away and giving a shy smile. "G-guess this was just a trick to get you to spend time with me?"

Allen chuckled and ruffled his lover's hair. "Good one. Now come on. We got a lot of shows to catch up on."

"Ooo! I'll grab the cookies I made yester-"

"Oliver."

"...Right-o."
