"Why do we even need to do this? I guarantee we aren't going to use any of this when we're older." Saya threw her pencil on the paper in frustration. I smiled to myself before looking up at her distressed state.

The material isn't even hard, I think she's just overreacting. I'm not gonna risk my life and tell her that though. "It's due tomorrow, so just finish it." She sent a quick glare my way before picking up her pencil.

We sat in the living room of my house. Honestly, I think the decor of this room was a bit overdone, but who am I to argue with my mother.

Papers scattered the room surrounding the area where we worked. Saya laid across the large couch as I opted for the floor. She insisted on this "homework date" as she liked to call it, but she seems to be regretting her decision.

"I can't do this." Saya groaned, dropping her head on a pillow.

"It's not that bad." I spoke without looking up; rookie mistake. A pillow hit me square in the face.
Not gonna lie it dazed me for a second.

My head snapped up to Saya dying of laughter. I took this time to slowly rise to my feet, if she wanted war then she got it. I lunged at her, barely missing as she jumped off the couch like a monkey.

"Oh, so it's like that?" She stood on the other side of the couch with a challenging stance. I hopped over the couch, almost falling, giving her an answer.

She bolted like a track star down the hall, I heard her loud laughter as she tried to escape. I had the advantage of knowing the layout of the house and all the shortcuts. Thinking quickly, I ran in the other direction of where she went, the hall she went down could either lead her to the basement or the garage. If she went to the garage it would mean immediate surrender for her.

I knew she would go for the basement then try and hide. In the mudroom, there was a trap door that led to the basement. Technically, it's only supposed to be used for emergencies only but who was here to stop me. I sprinted to the trap door, almost slipping on the smooth tile. The trap door was situated under a rug and open like a cellar.

I crept down the stairs, creeping around the corner I caught Saya frantically looking for a hiding spot. A devilish grin rose to my face, I could almost taste the epic scare I was about to give her. I took my chance as her back was towards me, a huge couch stood in between us. I silently climbed the couch and positioned myself for the perfect tackle.

She yelped in surprise and shock as I pounced on her. We landed swiftly on the soft cushions beneath us, I hovered above her as she struggled to escape from under me.
