Lee Jieun's pov

I walked inside our large mansion. I had my black high heels on and my black, short, but still elegant dress on. It was the dress my mom chose with a lot of care and love, knowing that this one highlighted my slim body. I sighed at the thought of my mom that cried for my sake.

I tried to hug her and comfort her, but that didn't seem to be effective in any way. Of course she would cry when I'd meet my future husband. And not just any husband, but my first love, Kim Myungsoo.

I smiled at the thought of how he'd kiss me with his eyes filled with care. I loved the idea of our children, who would run around the house, making a big mess while we ran after them. The thought of us growing old together, hand in hand, made me almost cry. Mostly, my heart ached because I knew that it wasn't possible. Only in my dreams.

I stopped in front of my father's meeting room. I stared at the door, picking up my courage and knocked it three times, just like I've been taught ever since I was a child. "Come in." I heard my father's voice say through the wooden door in front of me. I carefully turned the door knob and stepped in, stopping right in front of the doorway, so I wouldn't bother people inside. I bowed politely in front of his working partners that I knew rather well.

I looked at them all and gave my smile, which they all returned. My father nodded and told that the meeting was now over. I stood at the door, bowing again to everyone that passed me. Some of them patted me on my shoulder, telling me how sorry they were for me, hoping me to get some strenght. They shouldn't be sorry. It was not their fault and it wasn't something any of us could affect.

In the end, they all left and I was alone with my beloved father. "Are you ready Jieun?" He asked and walked over me. I plasted a smile on my face and nodded. "Yes, father. I love him." I said truthfully. He put his arms gently on my shoulders and smiled at me.

I looked at his honey coloured eyes that looked at me, proudly. Oh, how I'd miss those loving eyes of him.. His distressed emotions from the stress caused by work. His dark brown hair that didn't fit his old age, but instead made him seem alot younger than he really was.

"Should we go now?" He asked and I nodded again. He placed his hand on my back and we then we walked downstairs together, where my mother was already waiting for us to come.

She looked at me and clapped her hands, tears of joy running down her cheeks. I smiled at her as I took the last step and looked at her beautiful features once again, trying not to be mesmerized about her looks every time she was facing me. My mother was a tall, beautiful and elegant woman. She had hazel brown eyes and her dark brown hair, same as mine, were long and it had slight curls in it. She rarely used any make-up, yet she always looked like a fairy from a fantasy book.

She hugged me once more, before she disappeared outside with her safire blue dress. I smiled at her, knowing that she just tried not to cry in front of me anymore. She tried not to make me feel bad, and I tried hard not to seem like one that had lost a country. "She's going to be so happy, when she sees you walking on the aisle, Jieun." My father said and I nodded.

"I know, father. I'll be happy too." I said with a wide smile, and together we left our big mansion. Together, our arms linked, we walked to our limousine that was waiting for us, my favourite driver being behind the wheel. We sat there, talking and laughing, until we arrived at the destined place.

Our kind, old and faithful driver opened the door and we exited the car. I was nervous, and I hid behind my parents as we entered the five star restaurant in front of us. I had never seen this place before, and guessed it must be the new one, which people around me gossiped about.

Some cutely smiling worker, a girl, lead us to the door where my fate waited. I was quite nervous to see him again. I was only able to admire him from afar at school, but now he would finally notice me. "Jieun? I will now open the door." My father said and I smiled happily.

"Yes, father. Please open it." I said firmly, trying to calm my rapidly beating heart.
