Living in Shadows

This is a story about a girl...........

Lola Delany a girl who is full of life , always happy and never criticize or make judgement

towards anyone. Lola who is in the 4th grade attended Charles May Middle School which was not a school in her district. While she was in elementary school the school administrators met with Lola mom Martine to evaluate Lola's talents after a performance she did for the school. The administrators advised Martine that Lola is better off at a Magnet School that offered Dance, Music and Arts.

Lola mom and dad was divorce but Lola barely seen or even questioned the whereabouts of her father. It was like he never existed! Lola had a little sister name Kayla who was the complete opposite but they were extremely close.

HER THOUGHTS: Lola trust anyone and everyone.

HER MIND: LIfe was a big adventure that you can achieve with creativity. She fantasizes about many things Especially astrology.

HER LIFE: LIving in a single family house and everything well taken cared of.

Lola had 2 best friends named Tangie and Nancy, who were almost similar to Lola. They will create the weirdest thing and sell them to their classmates such as magical sand, critter catch box and more! You are wondering why kids will actually buy such a silly thing, but Lola was so friendly and believable who wouldn't.

Things that she was selling she believed it in and had no doubts about it! She believed if she had faith in her made-up product then everyone will have faith as well.

One day after school her mom Martine told Lola and and Kayla that their father will start picking them up and that they will start spending time with him. LOla and KAyla were speechless they didn't know what to say or think , because they felt their mom is their dad.

So Lola said okay, it wasn't a big deal to them because they don't remember who he is and had no connection with him.

Lola and KAyla got their bags packed for the weekend to spend with their dad. They didn't put no thoughts to it or like every other child will be ecstatic but not Lola and kayla, to them was just another trip.

Fridays was the days he would pick Lola and KAyla up as they were packing they noticed a brown van with tented windows as Lola and Kayla father came out and approached the door they overheard their mom talking to him with anger but of course Lola and KAyla didn't bother to hear so they muted and just sat and wait for him to come in.

As he came in Lola automatically seen the resemblance and seen where she got her height from. As he approached he said hi with a trusting smile and gave them hug!

Once he said lets go girls I will show you my place Lola and her sister gave their mom a big kiss ad headed towards the car.

Lola and Kayla sure had fun. He took them to Checkers to the amusement park they had so much fun. Throughout the day they noticed they don't even know their father name and the entire day they were not calling him daddy or dad.

He told them his name was Sylvain and they don't have refer to him as dad.

So every Friday they were so excited to go spend time with their father because Lola and Kayla enjoyed the trips their father was able to take them to. Later on Lola and KAyla found out they had brothers they all got along very well. Every afternoon they will sit down watching Thundercats which became their favorite show as brothers and sister.

Well one afternoon On a Saturday at their fathers apartment , Sylvain started to make rules where everyone needs to take an afternoon nap. Lola and Kayla started to see a different sign of him, but they just listened to him and took an afternoon nap.

THIS IS WHERE IT BEGAIN....

While Lola and the others were sleeping, Sylvan woke up Lola and told her he needs help cleaning around the house, she woke up and said okay. He advised her to clean the bathroom and he will stand next to her to make sure it's clean.

Lola didn't have a problem cleaning because chores was her daily life at her moms house. After cleaning the bathroom Lola father told her it was time to take a shower so as soon as she said okay she hold the handle to shut the door but her father said with a different tone of voice I'm your father you can trust me.

Lola jumped in the shower and clothes the curtain and she got undressed inside but noticed her father was still standing by the door.

So she brushed the weird feeling she was feeling at the time and just took a shower.
