I stood up in the back of the pick-up truck, my best friend driving and the song 'Heroes' blaring. Dozens of lights flashed by me as we raced through the tunnel, wind whipping my hair as we whooped and screamed along to the song. I waved my arms in the air, pretending to fly, letting all my problems go just for a moment. The tunnel felt never ending and I didn't want it too end. Until I saw the end. It looked like a giant black hole with specks of light coming through. I let out a shriek as we exited the tunnel and gazed in wonder at the buildings as they whizzed by me.
"Watch out!" I ducked just in time, barely missing the road sign above me. Besides almost dying, I felt great. Nothing could ruin that moment.
Except waking up.
