16. Championship Match

"Shawn."

"What?"

I stared at him to a moment, we were standing in the gorilla waiting for his music, Diesel stood beside him. I got up on tippy toe and went to kiss his cheek, he moved his head and stepped away.

"I told you. I can't."

Looking away from him, I frowned and his music played. Me and Diesel walked behind Shawn as he made his entrance, I looked at the ladder and watched as Shawn walked around it as to say luck was in his side tonight. Diesel held his arm out to me to take and I accepted.

We walked down to the ring and Shawn got in, doing his thing. I smiled as the crowd went crazy for him. I looked to see Jerry Lawler and Vince were the announcers tonight.

After Shawn's music died down, Razor came out. And he walked directly under the ladder on his way to the ring. I looked at Shawn to see he looked unscared as Razor got in the ring and handed Tony Chimel his gold chains.

The bell sounded, and it started.

Ramon and Shawn started circling one another, and Shawn caught Ramon in a side headlock and turned it into a hammerlock. Ramon then reversed the hammerlock, but HBK reached down and countered with a single leg trip, taking Ramon to the mat. With his other foot, Ramon pushed Michaels to the ropes. Michaels ran the ropes, jumped over Ramon, and bounced off the opposite ropes.

I turned my head away not wanting to see more, and spotted Shane talking with his father. He seen me and gave a small wave, I returned it. When I heard a pow from the ring.

Shawn went to ram Ramon into the turnbuckle, but Ramon blocked and countered with one of his own. Ramon hit Shawn with a shoulderblock and ran the ropes. Shawn ducked, and threw Ramon to the outside of the ring, onto the arena floor.

I moved away remembering what happened last time I came face to face with Ramon. He seen me and Ramon started to walk towards me. He ran into a clothesline from Diesel.

The ref stepped in, he shouted something at Diesel who was getting boos from fans, they removed Diesel from the arena which made Ramon chuckle and walk away from me.

I looked up to see Shawn standing on the ropes and objecting to the call, Ramon was coming up behind him. My heart beat fast.

"Shawn?!"

Ramon took advantage and went on the attack. I covered my mouth with my hands.

With Shawn in the corner, Ramon Irish whipped him to the opposing corner, and Shawn went upside down in the corner but landed back on his feet, stumbling into the middle of the ring. Ramon then bounced off the ropes, and clotheslined HBK over the top rope to the floor.

Ramon followed hot on his heels, hitting him with a right handed shot, and then went to my side of the ring to pull away the padding on the arena floor beside me, I moved away and he grinned at me.

Ramon moved in to further his attack on HBK, but Shawn stopped him by poking him in the eyes. Shawn threw Ramon back into the ring, with a glance at me, and went on the attack, stomping and kicking away.

Shawn whipped Ramon to the ropes, but Ramon reversed. Shawn bounced off the ropes, and Ramon caught him with a right hand to the jaw.

I started to shield my eyes when I seen "Razor's Edge"coming, but Shawn surprised me. He flipped Ramon over the top rope and onto the exposed arena floor.

I looked back into the ring and watched Shawn slowly slide out of the ring.

Shawn slowly walked down the aisle and grabbed the iron ladder, he started towards the ring with it when Ramon rolled through the ring to the other side to meet HBK halfway. Ramon leveled Shawn with a right handed shot, threw him back into the ring, and grabbed the ladder himself.
