I look at the clouds but I'm still in the dirt.
I been through so much hurt
By trying to make my dreams work.
It may be hard right now but it'll be worth it in the end.
At least I can say I took no shortcuts or gave in to a life of sin.
I choose to be an open book so you see my story
In what lies behind this glory.
You can read through my pages
And see my wins and my mistakes,
And won't have to say "easy for you to say".
