📍Trigger warning
It's getting worse again. The thought of not being wanted. The only person who wants me around is my brother. Griffin is the only one who cares.
My parents hate me. They told me I'm stupid and worthless. I don't bring money into the family. My brother has a job. I cant get a job because I just turned 15.
Last night my father came into my room and threw my laptop at me. It hit my head and I have a bruise. I told my brother this morning when he took me out to eat. I didn't eat. I just stared at the table while my brother talked to me. I didn't reply much either.
Today. July 12th my brother will leave to go to a party with his friends. Both my mom and dad will be at work. That's the time i'm planning to end it all.
I'm just sitting alone in my bed staring at the ceiling while I hear my brother and his best friend Reed laughing. I wonder what they're laughing about.
I got up out of my bed. I had Griffins black t-shirt and black track shorts on. I grabbed my glasses from the side of my bed and opened my bedroom door.
I wiped my eyes before I headed into my brothers room. They were sitting on his bed looking at their phones and laughing. I softly knocked on the door and opened it a little bit wider.
"Hey sis." My brother said.
"Hi." I said with a sniffle.
"Come here." He said reaching his arms for me to come give him a hug.
Reed scooted closer to the edge of the bed so I can fit. I climbed onto Griffins bed and hugged him. I started sobbing.
"Do you want me to leave the room?" Reed asked. "No it's okay." Griffin said. I wiped my eyes and sat up.
"Hey Ry I know I don't know what's going on but I'm here for you. Always." Reed said rubbing my back. "Thanks." I said hugging him.
"You can take a nap in here if you want but we're going to be getting ready for the kick back we're going to so we might be loud." Griffin told me.
"That's fine."
Griffin got up to take a shower and Reed stayed on the bed with me. I closed my eyes and as I did I felt
Reed kiss my cheek and rub my back. "It's all going to be okay." He whispered.
About an hour and a half later I was woken up to my brother shaking me. "Hey we're leaving I just thought I'd let you know." He said. "Oh ok have fun." I replied.
"Thanks Love you." He said. "Love you too." He held my face and kissed my forehead.
"Bye Ryann." "Bye Reed."
I watched them walked out of Griffins room and out of the front door.
Now I can do what I need to do. I went into my room and grabbed the rope. I went into the dinning room because the fan can support the weight the most. I climbed onto the dining room table and started crying. I'll miss my brother but this is what's the best for me. I just want my parents to love me. Maybe they'll be happy when i'm gone. I tied the rope around the fan then tied the knot and slipped my neck through.
I look down at the floor and knew this was it. I love Griffin but he's better off without me too. I took a step forward and then jumped.
Everything went black.
Reed.
I forgot my charger in Griffins room. I unlocked their front door and walked in. The sight I had seen brought me to tears. Ryann has hung herself by the ceiling fan.
"GRIFFIN." I ran outside screaming. "What what's wrong?" He asked getting out of the car. "You're sister. She hung herself." I explained in tears.
He dropped his phone and ran into the house.
"No. No. No. I love you please No." He said screaming and sobbing. "GO GET SOMETHING IN THE GARAGE TO CUT HER DOWN." He screamed at me.
I ran into their garage and found a saw. I brought it back in and Griffin was up on the table trying to untie her. She was still alive but looked like she was passed out. I handed him the saw and he started to cut her down. I called 911 and told them what happened. I put my phone down talked to them on speaker as i grabbed her waist gently trying to help him bring her down on the floor.
They sent an ambulance and firefighters. We brought her down onto the floor and untied the rope from around her throat. "Ryann Please." Griffin said as his tears fell down onto her face. "Please you cant leave me here alone. You're the only I have left. You're my baby sister. You're only 15." He said.
I grabbed Ryann's hand. "I wanted to get to know you. We could be great friends. You can't do this to your brother." I said. She was beautiful. It wasn't fair that she was treated like this.
Firefighters and the ambulance had arrived. They brought her onto the gurney and took her outside and into the ambulance. Griffin explained that he was her brother and that I was his best friend and if he went into the ambulance I'd have to go too because I can't drive.
I locked their front door and picked up Griffins phone by his car. I handed it to him as we got into the ambulance.
Griffin.
I love her and I don't want to lose her. She was my best friend in the entire world and well I was her only friend. Her only real one anyways. She's my little sister and my whole world.
I decided to call my parents. I called my mom first.
M: Hello?
G: Mom we're in an ambulance right now you need to come to the hospital Ryann hung herself
M: Oh well are you hurt.
G: MOM NO. PLEASE MOM SHE NEEDS US.
M: I cant get leave work i'm working with our best client.
G: WHAT THE FUCK
I was so heated I hung up the phone. There was no point in calling my dad. He's worse than my mom.
We arrived at the hospital and they took her out of the ambulance and they told us we need to wait in the waiting room.
So we did. For 3 hours. I took a nap and Reed kept getting up and walking around.
