I walked into the gym to see Shawn throwing punches to a punching bag. I could see his muscles every time he hit the bag, I cleared my throat making him stop and look at me. The punching bag rocked forward and bopped him on the butt making him jump.

He smiled a little at me "Shouldn't you be with Hunter?" he asked as he went back to punching the bag, I crossed my arms as I walked closer and leaned on the wall next to him.

"I don't really wanna be in a room full of naked men, Shawn."

Shawn smirked at me "What if I was-" he stopped and shook his head with a groan, then went back to punching.

"Please finish that sentence. Why haven't you been ...your normal Shawn-y self? Am I becoming a stick in the mud or something?"

"What? No!"

"Are we no longer friends?"

"Adri-"

"Why aren't you ...you?" I asked throwing my hands up in the air "One minute your ignoring me, the next you look awkward, then you are throwing fits. And now you are taking up for me, which is sweet."

"I know, I am being odd here lately."

"For the past three days, I have gotten mixed signals. Are you flirting? Do you want to be just friends? Are we less than friends?"

"You-Hunter-I-f*ck" he shouted and hit the punching bag so hard it came flying back and smacked him in the face.

He laid on the ground "Wondering if that can be considered the phone book" I heard him mumble as I walked towards him and knelt down beside him.

He looked up at me and pushed at my hand that was heading for his face "I'm fine."

"Shawn, your face is red from the-"

"Adrienne, I can't" he said and sat up beside me, his face was right in front of me while his legs were pointing behind me. I stared him in the face watching his eyes.

"Can't? I wasn't trying to kiss you. Or do you want me to?"

He put his hands on his face "I want it, but ..Hunter and me-"

"Are you married? Have a girlfriend? Is that why you are being so ..mix signalled?"

"What? No! No. Me and Hunter have a bet going on, if I kiss, uh, any girls I get smacked in the face" I just stared at him and he said "With a phone book. And trust me when I say those things hurt."

I just stared at him "A Phone book?" I asked skeptically, before shaking my head and standing up "Whatever."

He reached for my hand "I'm telling the truth! Ask Hunter, he made the bet with me" he said, looking up at me "Believe me, we do it all the time."

"You know what, I really started liking you then you come up with something this ...stupid" I said in disbelief, he looked like a kid that didn't know what to do "I am going to walk out to the ring with you, because you are doing something this sweet for me, and hope you and Ramon don't kill each other. But, leave this 'bet' away from me."

"Adri. Adrienne, please! I'm telling the truth!" he shouted as I walked out the door, I crossed my arms and walked down the hallway before looking at the gorilla.

A bet with Hunter? What does he think? I'm stupid? Who is stupid enough to hit someone in the face with a phone book? I thought as I walked down to the ring and sat on the edge with my arms hung over the ropes.

The one time I actually like a guy and he is being strange, it figures. I sighed and looked out at the entrance. Maybe Shawn really does want to be just friends and keep at his ...ways.

"Uhh, excuse me, Ms. Are you alright?"

I looked down beside me to see a guy around my age, he was giving a small smile, I nodded "Yeah. I'm fine. Thank you for asking."

He shrugged "No problem. I'm Shane, Vince's son" he said and held his hand out to shake, I shook it with a nod.

"Adri DarkKill."

He nodded as he got into the ring and sat beside me "I know you. Kind of cool how you and Michaels won the tag team match" he said with a smile. I shrugged and played with my HBK writband I was wearing.

"Shawn did all the work. I just got knocked out."

He chuckled "I think you did good. My father is kind of iffy but, I am pretty sure we can all bring him around" he told me and looked up around the ring "Its always so peaceful at this time, before the wrestlers start practicing."

"Come here a lot?"

"To think" he answered with a shrug "I hope to one day wrestle, myself,"

I smiled "There is a lot of hard work put into it."

He sighed "You sound just like my dad" he said and laughed so I could tell he was joking "I heard he was giving you five months."

"Yeah. Then if I am not approved it is off, back to 'Bama."

Shane cocked his head to the side "I thought that is what he said. So, you inherited the accent?" he asked. I looked at him cunfused.

"What accent?"

He raised a eyebrow "The southern drawl? Or whatever?"

I nodded realizing what he was saying "Yeah. I figured since I would be starting new here I could actually talk like it. You see, even though I was raised southern I was made fun because of talking like it. School was harsh."

He nodded and looked up at the lights "I think its kind of cool" he said, and gave me a smile "Plus, you like to fight dudes. Its odd."

"Hey, I'm odd ...from what all I have seen so far, I think I fit in."

Maybe I am almost as odd as Shawn is at the moment ...I wish he would tell the truth.

*Shawn*

She didn't believe me, damn you Hunter.

I walked into the lcoker rooms and sighed as I started to undress and pull off my pants, the door to the bathroom opened and a yell sounded making the door slam close.

I turned around and looked towards the bathroom "Adri?" I asked.

"Uh, no Adri here. Leave a mesaage after the beep....beeeeep."

Rolling my eyes I walked over to the door "Come on, Adri. Talk to me. I was being honest" I told the door, I heard her moving her feet nervously on the otherside.

"Shawn, even if you arent lying, there is no way a dude hitting another dude with a phone book is normal."

I smiled "Sweetheart, men arent normal. Have you yet to notice that?" I asked as the door opened and Matt came through the door raising a eyebrow at me "Matt, tell her about the bet."

He looked at me before walking over "Its true. Shawn cannot flirt nor kiss yo-" I made a motion to him saying that she doesn't know that part "-any girls. If he makes it all the way to San Antonio without doing so, he wins the bet."

She was silent on the otherside.

Then I heard laughing, I looked to Matt who looked just as confused as me, the door opened and Adri was grinning "This is a joke, isn't it? Good one, guys. I thought Shawn was just being weird" she said and patted us both on the shoulder before leaving the locker room "See you later."

"She really doesnt believe us, does she?"

I looked at Matt "Nope."

At least she doesn't look like she could smack me anymore. I thought happily as I changed.

(What do you think is going to happen? But, the 1994 event between Ramon and Michaels was a good one, yes I am going by what happened in-ring with it, I just need to look online and WWE Network....damn, it should be up by 2021😂😂jk)
