<>Marshall's P.O.V<>

The soft sound of my strums lifted through the silent house. Every note filling me with a new emotion, a new passion. My shadow danced below me as I hovered over the floor. My eyes were shut tight, closing everything out except for the art I was performing.

I began to finish my song and set down my instrument. I sighed and looked toward the kitchen. The only food I had was that apple I ate yesterday. Well, time to go to Gumwad's.

I rushed out of my house and into the night sky. The stars peppered the midnight sheet and complimented the moon nicely. Why was I seeing Bubba so often? I saw him twice yesterday and now today. That's three times after like 2 years? I don't know, maybe it's just me but that's kinda strange. (That's because it's fate Marshall mkay? Mkay. ~AN)

I could see everything from the sky. It made me feel so powerful, so free. The thought of walking made me tired anyway. The soft sound of crickets swung in the air. My raven black hair blew softly in the hardly noticeable breeze.

The Candy Kingdom soon snuck into view. The lights gave the Kingdom a whole new perspective. All of the candy people were probably tucked away in their homes, but the ruler of them all was standing outside on his balcony. He looked.... Bothered.

I ignored him and made my way to the garden. Yes, I was the vampire stealing his strawberries. Being as hungry as I was yesterday, I ate them before I got home. Good move right? Anyway, I didn't tell him that because I was simply tired. Well, that and I wasn't in the mood to make him angry. At least that's what I tell myself. Part of me doesn't want to upset him. The other part feeds off of the anger and frustration. The veins in his forehead that pop out when he shouts. His nose crinkles and I can't help but smirk. He thinks it's satisfaction that I win, but it's more than that.

Before I knew it, millions of strawberries surrounded the land around me. The beautiful shade of red contrasted with the green, making my mouth water. I reached down and plucked one that seemed perfect. My fangs sunk slowly and deeply into the fruit as my eyes shut. In mere seconds, the red had seemed to disappear. I smoothed my tongue over my fangs to get the remaining color. Once I had finished, I tossed the boring berry behind me.

"Marshall, honestly...." I spun around quickly like a deer caught in headlights and saw the pink boy trying to pry strawberry out of his bubblegum hair. I soon chuckled and relaxed a bit.

"Need some help?" I asked raising an eyebrow. He continued to look up, trying to get a view of his situation, and simply replied:

"No." I scoffed and flew over to his head. I pushed his hand out of the way and yanked the strawberry out of his hair. He sighed and let his arms fall to his sides.

"There."

"Thank you...." He looked at the ground for a moment before he remembered what I was doing. His back straightened and he huffed. "Why are you in my garden? I thought you weren't the vampire stealing all of my berries!" He softly yelled, trying not to wake the citizens.

"Yeah, I lied okay Bubba? I wasn't in the mood to piss you off." I rolled my eyes and folded my arms. I could see his face glow a tad redder, obviously from frustration.

"Fine. Please gather what you like, and leave." His eyes were leaving a hint of sadness that I could see as he said the least word. That word hit me pretty hard too.

"Fine if you want me to leave so bad, then I will." I spun around and zoomed away from the castle. Same old Gumwad. Up tight, snotty, annoying... He hasn't changed at all after these years. At least I was trying to be nice! Least he could do is welcome an old friend...

Caught up in my rage, I didn't notice a small tear escape my eye and fall down to the earth below.~
