Y/n POV

Dear Diary,
Kun wasn't kidding when he said the preparations for my birthday ball would begin soon. The ball coordinators have asked me many questions regarding what I want. To be honest I have no idea what I want. I've never had a birthday ball before. I know it must be a very elegant celebration where Aligovia's allies will also be attending. I also have to prepare a speech to speak to the guests! I'm just very excited to see my father and Sicheng. I have to go to attend another lesson with Mrs.Chou I'll write again soon.

"Miss Y/n I have wonderful news!" Mrs. Chou gleamed as I entered the study room.

"What news?"

"Since you have been attending to your studies and doing very well, I have calculated that you should finish by the time of your birthday ball!"

"Really! I'm doing that well? What happens after I have finished?"

"Considering you will be wedded to the King, I would say preparations for a wedding, then a coronation for you to rise as Queen," Mrs.Chou explains.

"Oh wow this is happening so fast," I smiled nervously.

"I am so happy to have been your teacher through this, I know it is a difficult transition. You are ready my dear. Everyone will be happy and surprised at how much you've learned to lead this country. Which reminds me you will be a new teacher for children of the age of 5-6, you'll start tomorrow, now I'll give you material to make lesson plans on what you'll teach for the week/month."

Third-person POV

Mrs.Chou left y/n to make her lesson plans for her new students. She made various plans to teach kids in a fun and hands-on way so that they grasp the material that is needed for the next grade.
She was so into her lesson plans she didn't hear Kun walk through the door.

Y/n POV

"I heard the good news," Kun pressed his lips on my head.

"I'll be your wife and Queen much sooner than we thought," I smirked wrapping my arms around his neck.

"I'm so proud of you, and I can't wait to call you my wife, and my Queen," Kun murmured kissing my lips slowly.

"What have you been up to?" Kun nods towards my lesson plans.

"Mrs.Chou informed me that I will be teaching some children at the nearest city, so I am planning the material that I will be teaching them. I start tomorrow, I am excited, yet so very nervous. Everything is happening so fast, me finishing my studies which means we can start preparing for a wedding, and my coronation. Which leads to bringing Aligovia's next heir to the world. A lot has happened in under a year," I sighed.

"I know it has been a lot, and you have taken on a big role. I am just so proud and happy that you're doing this. You didn't have to, you turned down college, moved out here, accepted being my future wife, and Aligovia's Queen. I just know that I wouldn't be the same person I am today if you had left after my coronation," Kun embraces me into a comforting hug.

"I came for you, for us. I did it because I love you. Because I knew I couldn't be without you, and if being your wife and future Queen means I have to do all of this to be with you, then it's worth it," I pecked his lips.

"King Qian Kun! Oh, my apologies my King and Miss Y/n, I did not mean to interrupt," one of the royal advisors barged inside the room.

"It is alright, I will be out please give me a minute,"

"Of course, again very sorry," he bowed and exited the room.

"I must go duty calls, I almost forgot. This morning we had a very big discussion about the expansion of Aligovia, Lucas provided us the information about the nearby islands and we will be setting up a voyage to obtain the land, it is all because of you that Aligovia will be growing," Kun kisses me one last time.

"That is great news, I'll see you later for supper I have to finish getting things ready for tomorrow," I lead his towards the door and wave him off.

Third-person Pov

After some time preparing new learning material for her new students, it was way past noon and y/n went to the kitchen where she found Lucas asking the chef for a bite to eat.

"Could you please make two, I wish to have lunch with my brother please," Y/n asked which the chef bowed.

"Brother-sister lunch sounds great, we should eat in one of the smaller gardens," Lucas smiled.

Once the dishes we made the two went out to the small patio by the smaller garden filled with the prettiest flowers.

"I overheard that there will be a voyage for the new lands you found," Y/n makes small talk.

"Yes! the royal advisors and Kun loved your idea of using those islands for expansion and growing Aligovia's grounds, we can also figure out what native goods grow there for trade. I will be going on the voyage with some of the sailors," Lucas gleamed.

"How long will you be gone?" I asked sadly.

"Probably 2-3 months, there are three islands and we have lots to do," Lucas held Y/n's hand.

"Don't worry I will be back, I am not leaving forever," Lucas rubs his thumb soothingly across her hand.

"I hope you'll be here for a future wedding and my coronation," Y/n states.

"Of course I will, I wouldn't miss it for the world. Wait! a wedding so soon? You finished your studies?" Lucas asks

"Mrs.Chou says I will finish before my birthday ball next month, which is in about 3 weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if they started preparations for the wedding or coronation after that. I know it takes time to plan a wedding, but I'm sure everyone is persistent on this," Y/n explains.

"I'll be there you know I will,"

The two conversed about their days as they eat delicious food.
