Leah's POV--
I had just sent off my sixth letter to H.S. yesterday, and I was starting to accept the fact that there was someone out in the world who thought I was pretty and actually wanted to be with me, which didn't really happen very often. Granted, I had no idea what his name was, and apparently, he sings for a job. There was no telling who that guy really was, and for all I knew, he could have been some random friend of Jack's that liked to play Rockband on the X-box and pretend he was in a real band. I did have some faith he was telling the truth though.
After I listened to the gift he sent me and I heard how amazing his voice was, the whole singing career wasn't really that far of a stretch anymore. He could have actually been a genuine singer, who did in fact travel all over performing in front of people. By then, the amount of times I had played his gift was well over the normal amount someone should listen to the song 'Happy Birthday,' but I just couldn't help myself. I was wishing I could hear more of it or at least hear him speak to me. The letter idea was brillant, and I absolutely loved writing back and forth, but the want of seeing him and hearing him speak was becoming over whelming.
In my last letter I had just sent metioned something about finally meeting each other now that it had been over a month and half since he sent me his first letter. I had so many nerves as I was writing that part because what if he sent back that he would rather keep writing than see each other in person? Wouldn't that be a sign that he was doing whatever that thing was called...catfishing? Yeah, catfishing. He could have been completely making up everything he said in his letters, which was why I wasn't allowed to know his name.
Until I could actually meet H.S, there wasn't much I could do at that point though. I would just continue going to classes and coming home to my apartment to read the letters I got every few days or so. I guess I did like having his letters to look forward to because he was so sweet to me, but at the same time, I always had that weird feeling when reading them. There was a bigger reason as to why he wouldn't tell me his name, and I needed to find out why.
