WW1 Poem

Bang, there goes another innocent soul,

This is the Great War.

Trenches becoming sticky and full of mud,

This is the Great War.

Boots thick with heavy soles,

This is the Great War.

Great rivers of blood,

This is the Great War.

Evil, fighting, gasses and guns,

This is the Great War.

Young men thinking it’s just a game,

This is the Great War.

Mothers crying over the death of their sons,

This is the Great War.

Life that never will be the same,

This is the Great War.
