For the rest of the year, Anna and my friendship was on and off, but ended the school year at an off. There were many reasons to this, but my main reason was that I didn't like to hurt people, especially people that are close friends.
Since it was seventh grade year, we were to be in charge of field day. Months before the last day of school, we got to choose our partners. During that time, Anna and I were "on", so we chose each other. It was a great idea then, because we had thought that we worked out our "problems" and we'd be good friends until the end of the middle school. Nope. We were still on and off.
So when it came time to start working on the plans for field day, I could not even stand to look at her. She tried to cooperate with me, but I didn't want to. I told her my idea and she thought hers was better, so I just decided I'd let her run the entire thing. I'm sad to say that I sunk so low as to not even care, but I stopped trying and just let her do everything. If she didn't want to see anything my way, then I'd just let her do her own thing. I know that was selfish and probably annoying, but she wouldn't even listen to my idea fully. "Yea, that's a good idea, but I still think mine would be better." So I just gave up and went with the idea that just had to be better.
On field day, I knew that it'd either run smoothly or be a horrible mess, or both... It was both. Anna had her idea that we used instead of mine and we went with it. I wasn't even completely sure on what her idea was. She wanted to play with the kids, which I was all for, but I'm not good with excersice.
After a few grades had passed through our activity, we started to get along better. I was still annoyed with her and I still wanted to discontinue our friendship, because I was rude and she deserved a better friend. Although I finally understood that if she wanted me as a friend then she could have me as a friend. I didn't get to decide all of her other friendships, so why did I get to decide hers with me. Since I was involved in the friendship, I guess. That still didn't give me a good reason to stop it.
After the last class passed us, we had thirty minutes to mess around since we had the last three ten minute periods free. Anna and I went our seperate ways; her all over the place, while I stayed closer to Justin and Theresa. They got the activity that involved staying close to the hose. Playing in water was my favorite part with them since Anna and my activity didn't involve water.
All around feild day, our last day of seventh grade was good. It was fun. It was the ideal day for me. The day involved zero drama and that was a first for our class. Even though, I was proud that my class was finally getting along, I was ready for school to end.
