The words give me hope,

The timing calms me down

The thoughts of someone else's mind tilt my mind on more than just a simple slope.

I'm a poetry girl.

The crushing words knock me down.

The mindblowing discription kicks me in the gut.

The art in my head like a smile painted on a sad clown.

I'm a poetry girl

The stories woven through analogy bring me to my feet

The call from others, telling me I am not alone

The experiences of others cause all doubt to leave, like fall leaves blowing down an empty street.

I am a poetry girl.

Because poetry is me.
