PART 2 – Third Person POV:

Ash sighed and put down her pen before she tossed the notebook onto the table and grabbed her pillow, “AHHHHHH!” Ash yelled into the pillow. She threw the pillow at the wall and threw a knife at the door.

Ash wasn’t taking being at the Academy as well as she said she was in her journal.

To be honest, she had seven fist sized holes in her walls, sixteen bullets and twenty-four knives.

“Cone in,” Ash said before anyone knocked on the door.

The door opened and Markus cautiously walked into the room, “Ash? Is your headache gone?”

Ash glared at Markus, then threw a knife at Markus and it embedded itself in the doorway an inch from his finger, “Does that answer your question?”

‘Headaches make her irritable,’ Markus thought.

“I heard that.”

Markus sighed, “We’re all worried about you.”

Ash pointed to her notebook, “Finished.”

Markus chuckled, “Good. Are you coming to breakfast?”

“Breakfast? I thought it was dinner.”

“You missed a day.”

Ash smiled, “Typical,” she mumbled.

Markus smiled and watched Ash pull on a beanie and a hoodie. Ash was different. He always knew that since they day he first met her. She’s tougher and smarter than all the other kids because she was taken as a teenager, but, as a result, she was more broken and lost. He agrees with Chris, the Captain, when he told Markus the Misfits will be good for Ash, but he also thinks Ash will be good for them.

“Come on,” Ash said as she finished straightening her hat.

Markus chuckled and followed Ash out of her room, “You have training with the Captain after lunch,” he said.

“Thrilling.”

“You’re going to learn how to control your telepathic powers. You obviously don’t need help with controlling your telekinetic ability.”

“Cool.”

Markus shook his head and walked into the kitchen with Ash.

“Hey Ash,” Jack said through a mouthful of food from his seat on the counter.

“Hey Jacks,” Ash said with a grin as Markus said, “Jack! Get down. Are you four?”

Kelsey smiled at Ash and opened her mouth to say something, but was stopped by Trip, who tackled Ash, “Bestie!” he yelled.

Ash laughed, “Tripper von Trippington! What have I told you about tackling people?”

Trip shrugged, “Um… not to?”

“No. Always take down as many people as you can!” Ash declared, pulling Seth and Kelsey to the ground too.

Trip laughed and pulled Jack to the ground.

“Well that’s new,” Camron said from his place at the table before he draped himself over Ash and Kelsey.

Everyone laughed and laid on the floor until Taven walked in.

“Honestly,” Taven mumbled, picking his way through the pile of teenagers and Jack, only stopping to lean down and kiss Jack.

“Eww, get a room,” Kelsey said after a minute.

Taven pulled away from Jack and grinned, “We have-”

“Putain de merde! Retirer cette pensée de votre esprit, vous trou du cul tordu malade! Il ya l'esprit des enfants de la lecture dans la chambre,” Ash yelled in French. “I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.”

Everyone laughed and Taven sighed, “I hate you too. I was having nice thoughts.”

“Those thoughts aren’t nice for everyone! I could have gone my whole life without knowing how that worked. Thank you for single-handedly scarring me for life with one vivid mental picture,” Ash said.

“Poor you,” Kelsey said.

“Taven, what have I told you about scarring the kids?” the Captain asked.

“To do so whenever possible?” Taven said.

Ash sighed and looked up at the Captain, “Don’t you have a job?” she asked. “Or do you just love our company that much?”

Seth, Trip, Kelsey and Jack laughed, “I am doing my job,” the Captain said.

“Go do it somewhere else,” Ash mumbled.

Everyone laughed and Markus nudged the pile of bodies with his foot, “Up. Eat,” he said.

Jack and Camron stood up and helped Kelsey and Trip stand. Seth untangled his legs from Ash before he pulled her to her feet and she stumbled into his chest, “Sorry,” Ash mumbled as everyone else sat down.

Seth blushed, “Its fine,” he said, sitting down next to Trip and an empty seat.

The Captain put his hand on Ash’s shoulder, ‘Floor 19. After you finish lunch.’

Ash nodded, “Sir, yes sir,” she said, sitting between Seth and Jack.

‘No fair.’ the Captain thought.

“What’s not fair? I can read your mind, but you can’t read mine?” Ash asked innocently.

“Shut up or I’ll ground you,” the Captain said, walking out of the room.

Ash raised an eyebrow, “Can he do that?” she asked.

“He’s the Captain,” Markus said with a chuckle. “He can do anything he wants.”
