"How long will you dodge Taehyung, Sik?" Mingyu asked, taking a drag from the cigarette before tossing it on the grass. "He keeps telling everyone you'll mate soon. When will you tell him you don't plan to ever mate with him?" He cast an amused look at his friend who was sprawled in front of him, sitting against a tree.
They were sitting under a tree late at night when most of the pack had retired to their own houses for the night.
"I'm not going to, obviously." Hyungsik replied, smiling at the other. Mingyu was the only person who knew Hyungsik didn't plan to mate with Taehyung. He loved him but he knew he can have Taehyung by his side without mating so why not mate another to have both?
"Won't he get suspicious if you delay it any longer?" Mingyu asked, amused at how uncaring his friend looked.
"Nah, he rarely questions me. Plus it's not like anyone else is going to mate with him when I've done everything except fuck him already." He laughed, checking his phone before getting up quickly. "I have to go see Tae, he must be there already."
"You're such an asshole, man." Mingyu cackled. Hyungsik just winked and ran deeper into the woods towards the little cabin where he and Taehyung usually met at night.
He looks around for flowers to give them to Taehyung as it had been a while since he gave anything to his omega. He hoped his little friend Jungkook hadn't come along, who had a bad habit of accompanying Taehyung to their late night meet ups and ruin everything. He hated how his eyes bore into his back and prevented him from doing anything with Taehyung.
He tried to keep his hatred down for the omega but Jungkook really got on his nerves. He couldn't understand how he went from that scared tiny alpha to a strong and silent one who looked like he didn't take shit from anyone. Anyone but Hyungsik. He only took shit from him because he's Taehyung alpha.
He saw the lamp turned on inside the cabin which meant Taehyung was there before he slowly jogged there and went inside. Taehyung was sitting on one of the dusty stools and staring at the floor with his head in his hands. He looked up when he heard the door close and smiled.
Hyungsik breathed in relief when he saw Jungkook wasn't there.
"Hey baby." He said, leaning down to capture the other's lips in a soft kiss. He wondered how he always managed to taste this sweet.
"I thought you weren't going to come." Taehyung said with his arms around Hyungsik's neck, gently caressing the back of his neck.
"I said I wouldn't do that again, didn't I?" He replied, pulling the other closer. He felt a spike of irritation when Taehyung mentioned him standing the omega up again. So what if he had forgotten to meet up a few times in the past? He had more important things to do anyway.
"Here. I made cookies." Taehyung changed the subject quickly sensing the change in the other's mood before pulling away to show him the box of cookies he had brought for him. "Jungkookie said these were the best I've ever made." He smiled proudly.
"I don't think his judgement can be trusted, baby. He isn't even a proper alpha." He turned his head to the side in distaste, thinking about how the universe had made a mistake in making him an alpha. Except physical strength, he had no quality an alpha should possess.
"Sik please don't say that. You know I don't like it when you talk about him like that." Taehyung frowned.
"You're telling me to shut up now?" Hyungsik growled, grabbing Taehyung's arm harshly. The omega suddenly shook his head, his eyes wide.
"No, please just let's not talk about Jungkook." He pleaded and on any other day Hyungsik would have argued more and maybe put him in his place but he didn't feel like it that night.
