Starlight's Reflection

Sky so bright,

But the darkest night.

And pricks of light fill me.

I’m not the sky at night

But I’m filled with starlight.

Ask me my name that is within your sight

Can you guess it?

Are you right?

Here’s a clue,

Just for you.

In me there is my war

For hundreds of years these forces score

But always they remain to fight.

I’m not the sky at night

But I’m filled with starlight.

Ask me my name that is within your sight

Can you guess it?

Are you right?

Here’s another clue,

Again, just for you.

Like the sky with its starlight,

I am home to dark and light.

I let them guide me

when they have little sight.

They are slowly learning,

Just like those in the sky,

They’ll learn they have to coincide

Or all will die.

Have you guessed;

Don’t you know?

I am everything;

Everywhere you go.

I am the Earth

And I match the sky.

Thus with darkness I may be filled,

But also, with starlight.
