Chanyeol found a sanctuary somewhere in the manor where people rarely go, the locked garden. It was his grandmother's garden which was unkempt after her passing. It now houses all the creepy trees, dead bushes and leaves that littered the ground, weeds sprouted everywhere and vines that hugged all the structure there within. It's as if you entered a creepy cemetery without the tomb stones.
It was separated by a huge wall and no one ever thought checking as it was placed at the far end of the manor, and no one could find the door. Chanyeol had kept the key to it's entrance as it was given to him by his grandmother when he was a child. He had forgotten it's existence until he dreamt of a memory.
"If you have no place to go and you need to hide with your love, go to my secret garden."
He had gone inside thay garden one time with his grandparents and he remembered his grandfather saying that his wife had been fascinated with the idea of a secret garden she had read in a children's book.
After many years, Chanyeol opened it for the first time and found that there was beauty hidden in the unkempt garden as colors of death that's all the shades of autumn and grey filled all the things in there. He had only traversed such a place within the mansion grounds once and Cheayoung was the first person he brought to see.
But despite the death of the forgotten place, Chaeyoung was saw beauty in it as the other had seen. It was not creepy at all, she saw the possibility of restoring it and she could almost foresee how it would look like as Chanyeol had described.
"Maybe you can restore it." Chanyeol said as he followed behind the girl who wonders around the secret garden. She stopped and turned with both here hands behind her back, "I don't live here."
"So? If you leave, you'd always have a place to comeback and it's here." the guy replied.
"That's the problem, this place is really growing on me." She responded as she continues to walk back slowly, looking around.
"And why is that a problem?" Chanyeol questioned.
"I wouldn't want to leave. It'll be a problem on each side, Chanyeol. I don't wanna cause more problems than I already did." She answered, muttering.
Chanyeol sighed as he approaches the girl who then looks up to him. Hands sliding on her waist, he pulled her gently, eliminating the distance between them before trapping her in his arms, "Whatever problem caused will be solved. Things are just complicated now but, everything will be fine. I'm thinking of better ways to fix what has to be fixed and that will be between your dad and me. I realized, all through our families' history, no one really seek peace."
"Jisung did." Chaeyoung interrupted, "I wonder, if..." she trails off as her words continue it's trail just inside her thoughts. If things hadn't happen the way it did, would she have met Chanyeol?
"What is it?" The man asks, studying her face.
"I wonder... if... I would be able to meet you if what happened didn't happen." She continued, looking straight in his eyes.
"Everything was bound to happen, even the mistakes... all of it was meant to happen so it could lead to this moment." Chanyeol response was unthought of and just then, he realizes whay he meant, "we cannot change what had happened even if we could not accept the results of our actions, but the consequences lead us to where we are right now."
He regrets thinking of it again but as his angel said, past is past. But the past still hurt no matter how they refused to talk about it. He could never take back what he did, all he could do is make up for it, "I'm sorry..." he whispers, caressing the girl's cheek.
