Chapter 89: Kainan, rawr

LLUVIA'S POV

Perseus held my hand as we went back downstair. Gumaan na naman ang loob ko compared nung kanina.

Pagbaba namin, wala ng tao sa living room. They might be in the dining area already since it's 7 o'clock.

Pagpasok namin sa dining area ay nakita agad kami ni Tita Esmeralda na nasa may dulong part ng mahaba nilang lamesa. Good thing it is long enough for all of the people here to fit in. Mukhang bilang din naman ata ang pupunta.

She grabs the glass and strike the fork on it just to grab the attention of her guests.

"Let me introduce to y'all, my son; Perseus Vounche." she proudly said.

Nagpalakpakan naman ang mga ito and Perseus answer the applauses with a smile as he heads to our seat and pull a chair for me.

Magkatabi kami ngayon, sa may part na malapit kay Tita Esmeralda at dun ko lang napansin na nandoon pala si Jane sa kabilang side sa may tapat lang ni Perseus.

"So it's like a 'welcome home party' for you?" bulong ko kay Perseus bago kumuha ng pagkain na ilalagay ko sa pinggan.

"I think so?" he said unsurely then scoop a rice and puts it on my plate.

"Perseus that's too much." saway ko sa kanya but he just smile and continue putting variety of foods on my plate. 

At the middle of our dinner, Tita Esmeralda clears her throat.

"I didn't knew that you invite Andromeda over here.." singit sa amin ni Tita Esmeralda habang kumakain kay Perseus.

"Ah yeah. Sorry for not telling you. Akala ko nabanggit ni Manang sa'yo." sagot naman ni Perseus.

"So how you and Jane going? Getting along well?" she asked.

I felt something wrong inside me when she ask that question to Perseus and Perseus giving a strange reaction.

Tiningnan muna ako ni Perseus bago sya sumagot.

"Uhm, yeah." sagot nito.

"Good. So you two must be prepared right?" Tita Esmeralda said then looks to Jane and Perseus.

What is going on?

"P-perseus, prepared for what?" mahina kong sabi sa kanya but he didn't even bother to turn his head towards me.

"What do you mean?" Perseus ask to her Mom

"You'll see what I mean later." Tita Esmeralda answered.

Both Perseus and I remained silent after the conversation with Tita Esmeralda. It's just that I am confused right now.

Nagkayayaan muli sa may living room ang lahat pagkatapos ng pagkain.

May mga upuan namang nakahanda sa may salas at sapat lang ito para sa mga bisita but some of them refuses to take their seats dahil bagong kain lang daw.

Tita Esmeralda walks in the front while holding her glass of wine..

"Everyone!!"

We all pay attention and waits for what will Tita Esmeralda say. She signals to Perseus to join her in front at sumunod naman nga si Perseus.

Kaya naiwan ako dito sa may likod.

"Everyone, since you'd already knew my son. I would like to introduce you now, my future-daughter-in-law..."

Future daughter in law? I really feel something wrong about this.

Perseus also looks confused and he kept stealing glances on me so I gave him a smile para naman makampante sya.

"Jane Constantino! The daughter of the ABAKA company's owner also known as my partner in business and I'm sure that this upcoming wedding will strengthen the bond of our partnership." she said as she invites the girl in the front.

Para akong nabingi sa palakpakan ng mga tao... and I wish nabingi na nga lang talaga ako...

Perseus immediately looks at me straight in the eye but I can't stand his look so I kept away my eyes off him.

"Congratulations!" sigawan ng mga tao.

And that was the time..

I've turned my back to them and run away from the mansion.

I wish that it was all just a dream. I'd rather see him stucked in a screen than see him with other girl..

H-he's getting married...

Tears start streaming down from my eyes as I run to nowhere. Tumakbo ang ako ng tumakbo ng hindi iniintindi kung saan ako madadala ng paa ko.

Then I've notice the light of the stoplight which means I'm crossing a pedestrian lane and I didn't bother to look at its color as I run to cross it.

I can't even see clear through these tears so what's the point trying to look at it?

Napaupo ako at napatakip sa tenga ko ng marinig ang malakas na busina mula sa sasakyan. Pumikit na lang ako at hinintay kung ano man ang susunod na mangyari.

"Hoy babae! May balak ka ba magpakamatay?!" malakas na sigaw na nagmula sa lalaki.

I open my eyes and saw a middle-aged man who looks mad right now.

"May pasahero pa ako dito e!" reklamo pa nya bago tuluyang bumaba sa sasakyan then he leaned on the back side.

"Ahh sir. Wait here— no. Sir. It's okay— sir —"

I heard the sound of the car's door and saw a foot coming out.

"Lluvia?"

I lift my head and looks at him with teary eye. He offers his hand to help me stand but I can stand by myself and refuses his offer.

"H-hui..."
