Chapter 1
“Predeen!” My mom called. I groaned.
I shifted towards my left and covered my face with the blanket. I heard someone knocking(or banging) on my door.
I sat up. Yawned and stretched and stood up. I walked towards the door and opened it. “Why mom?”
“Predeen you’re going to be late! It’s already 6:12 in the morning.” She explained. Most likely, shouted.
I rubbed my eyes with my hands and scratched the back of my head. “Okay mom. Give me 10 minutes and I’ll be downstairs.”
“Okay. You better be. Or else I’m going to drive you all the way to your school!”
I nodded. “Okay. Let me fix myself now, mom.”
She nodded and turned her back. I closed the door. I yawned and got inside my bathroom. I’m already done after 5 minutes. I opened my drawer and grabbed my jeans and a pink shirt. I put them on and grabbed a pair of socks and put them on and then put my pink Converse on.
I combed my hair and tied it in a high ponytail. I grabbed my bag and opened the door. I ran downstairs and saw my mom at the dining table.
“Eat your breakfast. The bus’ going to fetch you within 10 minutes.” She says.
I nodded and sat on my chair. I have bacon for breakfast. I ate slowly until I heard the beeping of the bus outside. I gulped on my milk and settled it down. I ran and grabbed my bag that is on the couch. I ran outside and jumped inside the bus.
As usual, I sat on the front seat beside the window. I settled my bag beside me so no one will sit beside me.
It took 15 minutes to get in school. The time when the bus stopped, I jumped outside and goes inside the campus. I made my way towards the lockers. I stopped when I’m in front of my locker. Locker number 709. I unlocked it and put my things inside it. Except for the one I need for the first session.
I locked it and walked in a fast pace. I reached my classroom and opened the door. Once I get inside, I sat on my seat at the corner beside the window. No one seemed to notice me as usual because they’re busy with their own businesses.
By the way, my name’s Predeen Mcfadden. 14 years old and a 10th grader. I’m an ordinary girl who wants to find some place I could fit in. Weird huh? Yah. Pretty much likely. You see, I’m from an ordinary family too. My dad works as a business man and my mom as a business woman as well. That’s why we move from place to place every now and then. That’s why I can’t find friends. I don’t want temporary friends. I want friends who can lasts for forever with me. Nah, That’s impossible.
I have blond hair and blue eyes. I’m the type of person who likes to be alone. Ah, I mentioned that before, Sorry. I’m not that intelligent though. Just average. Because I got no failing grade.
Uhh, what else? Ahh, I know how to arch. Yeah, my father taught me when I was young. I can buy whatever I want. Anything. But… I can’t buy my happiness. Even friends and a place I could fit in, right?
Now, you meet me. Predeen McFadden. The weird and alone girl.
