Part 7

Y/n POV

"My love, it is time for the ball," Kun knocks opening the door to their room where Y/n has finished getting ready.

"You look beautiful," Kun is in awe looking at me.

"Thank you," I softly say as he wraps his arms around my waist.

"I have something for you," Kun pulls out a box from his pocket, handing it to me.

"It's beautiful, thank you" I opened a box to a gorgeous necklace with gems to match my gown.

"Happy Birthday my love," Kun kisses me softly.

"Now, everyone is waiting for you, I'll wait for you at the bottom of the staircase. You'll descend from the stairs and meet me at the bottom, and the rest as we rehearsed," he explains.

"I am ready," I say finishing putting on the necklace, and we both exit our chambers.

Third-person POV

Y/n is in awe when she first steps foot at the top of the stairs after her name was announced. She saw all the beautiful decorations, all thanks to her future mother in law. She descends from the stairs gracefully, the nobility and allies chatter about her grace and beauty. Kun offers her his arm when she finally meets him at the bottom. The two walk slowly to the thrones where Kun's mother sits. She rises when her son and future daughter-in-law reach. All three of them stare into the crowd and wave respectfully and sit down once the cheering has settled down.

"To start off this beautiful ball off, The King has prepared a speech in honor of his wife to be," the announcer says and Kun rises to the podium. 

"Good evening, Thank you, everyone, who came to wish my beautiful fiancé a very happy birthday. Most of you know how she came into my life, Aligovia was in danger and I had to keep my country safe. I met the most beautiful, intelligent, and caring woman. I knew from the day I met her that she was going to be in my life forever. She saved me that night of our school play, saving this country as well. When I arrived back in Aligovia my mother knew right away why I was upset. She repealed the marriage law for us to be happy, and happy I am. I am the happiest man alive, to have Y/n be mine now, in the future, and afterlife. I can not wait till the day I am her husband and co-ruler of Aligovia. I love you with all my heart Y/n. Happy birthday, and many more," Kun raises his glass and the guests raise their glasses and in unison say "and many more". Kun gives her a small kiss wiping her happy tears.

"Former Queen of Aligovia will now say a few words to Miss Y/n,"

"Good evening and thank you all who came to wish your future queen a happy birthday. When Kun came back after that horrific time seven months ago, my son was heart-broken. He told me about this girl he had fallen in love with, and it hurt me as a mother that my son was hurting. He had told me all the wonderful things about this girl and new that she was his one and only. Just like I had been our late king's one and only. As my duty as a mother to do whatever I can to keep my son happy. The day of Kun's coronation, I had spotted Y/n front row in the crowd with her family. I was excited to meet her so I took it upon myself to go to her. Kun was absolutely right about this young girl, everything he said about her was true. Y/n is the brightest, kindest, and most intelligent individual I have ever met. She is perfect for Aligovia, perfect for my son, and I can not wait to call her my daughter-in-law. Happiest of birthdays dear, and many more," Kun's mother raises her glass and the guests again raise their to say "and many more," in unison.

"Please rise for Miss Y/n she has prepared a speech,"

"Good evening, thank you all for attending to wish me a happy birthday. Thank you to my future mother-in-law for creating a gorgeous ball for me. I am so thankful for those who have accepted me as someone who loves Aligovia's king, and the country its self. Thank you for opening your mind to the many possibilities that I can help bring this country. Many of you all heard that I have finished my studies, I worked very hard to show that I am ready to take on this role with Kun by my side. I am ready to help rule the people of Aligovia and care for you all. My time here indeed has been short, but I can guarantee that my love for this country is strong. It was quite difficult when I first started to study the principals of Aligovia, but I pushed through because I wanted to show you all that I am taking this seriously, for Kun and the people of this country. The big question now that has been around since the announcement of me finishing my studies is when the wedding will be held. I am proud to announce that there will be a wedding this mid-May. I am so ecstatic to begin my duties as your future queen alongside your king. Thank you all for the birthday wishes, and I hope to see you again in May," Y/n smiles. The broadcast has ended, and now for the real celebrations to begin.

Hand in hand the couple walk to thank the guests personally for attending tonight, once they are finished they head back up to the royal thrones. "A May wedding?" Kun smiles.

"Yes, one of your two surprises," Y/n snuck a kiss.

"Two? It is your birthday, not mine," Kun says.

"I guess you don't want to hear your second surprise then," Y/n smirks.

"No! of course, I do," Kun gasps.

"Later tonight, once all of our guests are gone," she winks at him.

The night was beautiful, the food was divine, the guests danced. Y/n and Kun danced as well after the guests practically beg the two. The gifts brought by the guests were piled up, Y/n again thanked the guests for the birthday wishes and gifts. It was late when all the guests had finally left. Immediately Kun dragged Y/n to their chambers, saying goodnight to his mother and thank you to the palace staff. Y/n yelling thank you's as she was being tugged upstairs.

"Kun! what is the meaning of this," Y/n laughs knowing exactly why he is like this.

"I waited all night, please tell me," Kun pouts.

"It has been a long night, I have forgotten maybe a good nights sleep will jog my memory," she jokes.

"Stop teasing, and tell me," Kun continues to pout.

Y/n takes hold of Kun's hands, bringing him into a deep kiss. "Remember that night we had that delicious wine," Y/n asks.

"How could I forget, the night was amazing," Kun smirks kissing her lips.

"Those events led to you being a father," Y/n adds, Kun's smirk turned into a shocked expression.

"Baby, are you pregnant?" Kun asks tearing up.

"Yes my love, you're going to be a father," Y/n also cries, Kun, places his hands on her flat tummy. Where soon there will be an obvious baby bump.

"My little prince or princess, daddy is here, and I love you so much," Kun squats down talking to the baby inside Y/n.
