dear jinsoul,
i know you read the last note i left. please don't feel pressured at all to respond. i mean why would you wanna be friends with someone who seems so stalkerish? anyways, if you do want to be my friend then my locker code is attached :)
- the girl across the hall

jinsoul read the second note left by the girl across the hall and realized one thing: she really wasn't looking for anyone else. the girl had immense trust issues and struggled to let anyone in. she couldn't help but wonder who this girl was, though. sure, with the locker number, she could easily just glance and know but did she even want to? the girl didn't know.

jinsoul knew for sure that she was content with her only and best friend, choi yerim. yerim had been there since basically day one. the two had always had each other and jinsoul felt a sense of satisfaction with that. the day they met was an accident but the best one.

they had only spoken because a young yerim spilt her chocolate milk on the slightly older girl all the way back in second grade. yerim had, of course, been very quick to apologize about the situation but also quick to burst out laughing. soon enough, jinsoul found herself laughing at the girl's mistake as well. jinsoul had also felt a strong sense of joy at the girl's laugh. they had a platonic soulmate connection and one that had lasted until now, in high school. the girls were still the best of friends.

now, jinsoul found herself having her very own admirer across the hall. she had no clue what to do. the whole situation was new and confusing. she'd never had this before. no one had ever seemed to take an interest in her.

jinsoul signed and slammed her locker shut before heading to class. this day was already off to a great start she thought sarcastically.
