jungeun watches as jinsoul opens the note she left only to notice the black haired girl's deep sigh. she folds it again and walks off. jungeun feels sadness inside her. the girl she's liked for years ignores her pining letters after she finally got the confidence and that hurts.

jungeun has been admiring jinsoul since seventh grade. she's called jinsoul her gay awakening for years now with no joke intended. it all started when one day, back in seventh grade, jungeun was preparing for her test in class when a girl turned around to face her.

"can i borrow a pencil?" the girl asked in a sweet voice. it made jungeun wonder how well she sang.

jungeun felt all the heat rush to her face as she began searching through a pencil bag for a spare pencil. the eraser couldn't have been used, she felt it had to be perfect for her. jungeun tried her best to hide her red face at the same time.

jungeun handed the girl the perfect pencil as she met her gaze. she didn't expect to get the pencil back.

"thanks... uh, wait i know this," the girl stuttered "i'm so sorry, what's your name?"

"it's uh jungeun, you can call me lip if you'd like. that's what my friends call me."

"ah well nice to meet you, i'm jinsoul. i don't really have any nicknames... anyways, thanks so much for the pencil. i owe you a favor." the girl now known as jinsoul said.

then only one thought crossed kim lip's mind: kim jungeun, that was pretty fucking gay of you.

from that day on, jungeun became quite the simp for jung jinsoul. she'd smile at her in the halls, try to say hi, and even give her homework answers a lot. though it never went further than that.

these notes were jungeun's last hope.
