dear jinsoul,
i heard you sing again yesterday and i can't help but fall for your voice. i'd do anything to hear that voice sing to me, you know? anyways, i'm beginning to fear that you don't really want to be close in anyway and maybe i'm making you uncomfortable. please let me know if you want me to stop.

———————————————————————————dear girl across the hall,
please don't stop.
- jinsoul
jinsoul felt her heartbreak at the girl's letter. even though she wasn't looking to be her friend or anything, she'd grown to like the letters. they brought my her confidence and something positive to look forward to at school. she even felt bad for not responding.
so, she finally decided to respond. she slipped the letter in the slit of the locker that had been left in a previous note. she really hoped it was the right locked.
jinsoul had never been too confident in any department. these notes kept her going. maybe it was because someone who owed her nothing really thought all these things. these notes brought her joy.
because of this note, though, she found herself rushing to next class and pulling out a piece of paper. she jotted "please don't" down and ran before the bell to deliver it. it was simple but enough to convey how she felt.
jinsoul had thought for minutes how to respond. she was just at a loss for words. she didn't expect to actually respond at any point. jinsoul felt that she'd probably never respond again anytime soon but the notes were becoming important to her.

jungeun arrived at her locker after school had finally ended only to open her locker and a note falling out the top. a small blue heart was drawn on the front where you would put wax to seal a letter shut.
she unfolded it carefully in fear but some anticipation. she glanced over it, her excitement slowly rising.
holy shit! she responded! the blonde thought. jungeun found herself letting out a loud squeal of excitement. this earned her an odd look from some nearby girls. she laughed awkwardly before apologizing and hurrying away. this was to, of course, go find jiwoo.
"jiwoo! come here, now! i need to tell you something very important! it's basically an emergency!" the blonde yelled down the hall.
she jumped onto the smaller girl with the biggest smile jiwoo had ever seen from her. jiwoo slightly jumped from the sudden embrace but didn't bother to fight it.
jiwoo found it odd for her friend to act this way. in the past years, she'd never acted like that. jungeun was always more on the serious side normally and looked away from most affection unless she was really happy or really sad. jungeun finally spoke and grabbed jiwoo's shoulder in the process to look at her.
"what's up?" jiwoo asked with confusion.
"jiwoo, she responded? can you believe it? i've been waiting for this!" jungeun said happily.
"wow! that's so great, jungeun! i'm happy for you," jiwoo said with a smile.
jiwoo had always been super affectionate to all her friends, especially jungeun. jiwoo could tell that jungeun honestly just needed a hug and she was always open to being the one to give it. no matter what.
"ready to hang out with everyone? i'm sure they'll be so happy for you once you tell them!" jiwoo said excited to see her friends soon.
jungeun, to be honest, wasn't looking forward to what they call a group study session. she was in a good mood though and no one could ruin that.
