I shut my phone of got dressed brushed my teeth packed my bag and headed down stairs to get breakfast. At the kitchen table I saw Leo (my brother) hunched over a bowl of cereal.
"Morning" I said grabbing a breakfast bar an apple and filling up my water
"Oh good morning sierah" he said slightly startled at my presence "mum is gonna be gone for this week she's doing a couple rounds to Russia and back"
"Oh,okay" I said unbothered "imma head to school now bye Leo love ya" I shouted closing the door
"Have a good day love youuuuuuuuu" I heard him shout through the closed doors.
After a quiet walk to school I removed my earbuds and entered the building and walked straight to my locker. Two hands pounced on my shoulders jogging me slightly her messy red mane hanging over her eyes "hey star" I said not even turning around "how did you know it was me" she asked genuinely shocked. I spun my self facing her with a 'you really gonna try me' type look on my face tucking my medium length brown curly bob behind my ears "okay thennnnnn" she said
As we were walking to 1st period our principals voice rang through the speakers "dear all students this morning all teachers have finally given in your grade averages and I am incredibly pleased to say everyone had an average of 90-100% across all subjects" cheers celebrations and high fives where heard as this news was spread "AND DEAR STUDENTS.." the cheers eventually ceased as the principle spoke "the teachers and I have decided to give you this whole day of as a reward for this Fantastic academic year" cheers echoed through the halls and almost as if rehearsed everyone simultaneously threw their books and papers into the air and broke out into high school musical songs.Star grabbed my hand and dragged me out through the doors
