"Hey frog face." troy said and pushed mike to the ground
"what do you want troy?" mike said sighing
"oh i just wanted to ruin your day." troy said smirking. "nobody will ever love you."
mike thought about it for awhile then he said, "Jane Byers."
troy looked at him again, "What did you say frog face?"
"i'll make Jane Byers fall in love with me."
"aw the frog face and the geek what a perfect couple." troy said laughing.
"you'll see. I'll prove you wrong."
"right." troy said and walked away.
mike stared at Jane as she skipped to her next class with her "nerdy" glasses.
"ugh." mike said and sighed "this is gonna take a while."

mike saw a empty seat next to Jane.
"hey Jane." mike said and smiled
Jane's point of view.
oh my god..why is mike wheeler taking to me?!?
no boys ever talk to me. come to think of it nobody talks to me except max.
"Jane?" mike said again getting kinda annoyed.
"um..i..h-hi...mike." Jane said stuttering.
"wanna go to the arcade with me later after school?"
Jane gasped and fainted.
"Jane?!" he said and got her on her feet "Mr. Clarke i'll take her to the nurse."
mike put Jane's arm around and Jane woke up, "who are you..." Jane said half awoke
Mike laughed, "I'm mike." Jane smiled. Jane took her arm off mike and fell on the floor again. Here i'll help you up. Mike 'purposely' took Jane's hand and Jane didn't even notice, which got him kinda mad. "Jane..You still didn't answer my question.." mike said looking into her light brown eyes.
"oh..um, i have to ask my mom..b-but if she says ye-yes then i can come."
"you stutter a lot." said mike forgetting he was supposed to be nice to her.
"oh i..um.." Jane said and frowned. "I HAVE TO GO!" she blurted out and ran to the girls bathroom. Jane sat in the stall looking at all the writing on the walls.
"Jane is a slut."
"Jane's annoying."
"She's a nerd."
"Jane is a nobody."
Jane sat there crying as she read all the mean stuff about her.
she knew she was a nerd.
so she was confused on why mike would even bother talking to a nerd.
Jane got out the bathroom and saw mike waiting for her.
"What do you want mike?" Jane said wiping her tears off.
"I..I'm sorry i said you stutter a lot.. let's just forget about it."
Jane agreed even though she obviously didn't.
"I'll walk you home if you like." mike said fake smiling
"sure." Jane said and she smiled. a real smile.
mike didn't know but, Jane was starting to want to be his friend.
