The Peek-A-Boo Plan

People say that cancer ruins your life. Well in my case, that's not necessarily true.

In school, I-Nevaeh Cooley-was "the nobody". No one noticed me; I was literally invisible. I blended in with the school walls, the students, the teachers, everybody. Except for my best friend of course, (she was cool), and I was completely fine with that. But the second I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in my leg, my whole world was flipped upside down and right side up.

Literally.

Yeah, cancer can ruin your life. It doesn’t mean I can’t have any fun though, right?

Everybody knew me. And if they didn’t, they’d at least know my name. I’m Ashton Carter, and don’t call me Ash. You might also know me as the school’s soccer star. That means I can kick balls, *insert cheesy smile here*. I have an, uhm, a special companion that only likes me for my anaconda, I'm amazing at soccer, I get good grades,(but dont tell anybody). What more could I want? But the second I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in my leg, my whole world was flipped upside down and right side up.
