Chapter 93: Rivalry

LUVIA'S POV

I immediately checked Perseus' temperature using a digital thermometer that I just found inside the closet.

"Shit." I cussed as I look at the result on the thermometer. 39° C ang temperature nya sa ngayon partida pa at nabigyan ko na sya ng sponge bath.

"H-hindi naman ganon kasama ang pakiramdam ko— !" halata sa boses nya na pinipilit lang talaga nya.

Inabutan ko naman sya ng box ng tissue at tinanggap naman nya ito kaagad saka suminga.

"Human's body is so weird.." sabi pa niya pagkasinga.

"I'm sorry, Perseus. I runned away last night without minding you then it turns out like this. It's my fault why you're sick right now. I am so messed—" up I paused at the middle of my sentence when I noticed that there's someone knocking the door.

Walang imik ko namang iniwan muna si Perseus sa kwarto saka dumiretso sa pinto. Tita Esmeralda and her bodyguards faced me as I open the door.

"I know that Perseus is here." sabi nya saka ako nilagpasan. Alam mo minsan talaga iniisip ko kung nagkabati talaga kami ng babaeng yon e.

Tss. She immediately went to the room and leave the bodyguards outside.

Isasara ko na sana ang pinto kaso biglang may pumigil. "Excuse me." tumigil pa sya ng konti sa may harap ko and took a glance bago dumiretso na din sa may kwarto.

And guess who that is? Of course, the great fiance! Tss. I have no choice but to follow them inside the room.

"Oh my gosh, Perseus. We've been looking around for you. Sorry kung ngangayon lang kami." she said as she pats his head like a child.

"I'm okay." giit naman ni Perseus saka pilit na tinanggal ang kamay ng ina nyang nag-aalala.

"Are you really okay? Ang init mo oh. Nakainom ka na ba ng gamot? Lluvia do you have some medicine there?"

"Stop panicking. I clearly don't have any left meds here and don't worry I  already gave him a sponge bath." sabi ko naman sa kanya.

"What?! Hey you!" she paused and points to one of the bodyguard " Go buy some medicine." she commands tapos abot pera kaya naman sunod agad ito.

"Soup! You need to eat some soup." sabi naman nya tapos lumingon sa akin. "Siguro naman may ingredients ka dyan?"

"I think so." sabi ko.

Napailing naman sya saka nilipat kay Jane ang tingin. "You knew how to cook right? Why not prepare some soup for Perseus?"

Mabilis naman na tumango si Jane at ngumiti kay Perseus, "Sure."

"And Lluvia, why not join Jane in the kitchen?"

Tss. I'm doomed.

"Lluvia, right? Nasan ang mga knives rito?" tanong nya.

I simply point out the second cabinet at umupo sa may dining table habang pinanood sya. Bale kasi magkatapat lang ang kainan at lutuan.

"Ohh okay..Nandito pala haha" Tss, saksak ko sa'yo e.

Nagsimula na sya sa pagchop ng mga gulay na ako ang naglabas. Natatawa naman nya akong tiningnan.

"You really don't want to help huh?" she asked as she chopped the vegetables.

Ayoko talaga dahil baka iba machop ko.

"You know mahalaga talaga sa pag-aasawa ang pagluluto. Well, hindi naman kita masisisi kasi mukhang pagod ka pa.. Or it's just that you don't know how to--" I cut off her sentence and made her flinch by slamming the table.

"I don't give a heck about cooking and specially about your opinion." tipid kong sabi saka tumayo.

Tss, feeling close. Who the heck by the way ask her opinion to speak that much?! Edi sya na ang ready sa pag-aasawa.

Nagtungo na lang ako sa bathroom saka naligo para mahimasmasan. After minutes of taking a bath, nasapo ko ang sariling ulo. Shit. I forgot to bring my clothes kaya ayon nagbalot na lang ako ng bathtowel ko.

Sumilip muna ako ng onti sa kwarto ko at wala si Tita Esmeralda sa loob at mukhang nalipat na din si Perseus sa kabilang kwarto so I sneaked my way inside the room saka dahan-dahang sinara at nilock ang pinto.

"Shit."

Napalingon ako sa nagsalita. Shit talaga. It's just me and Perseus left in the room.

"K-kala ko ililipat k-ka sa kabilang kwarto?" sabi ko habang nakayakap sa sarili.

"I-inaayos p-pa nina M-mom e." he said at hindi naman mapakali ang mata nya.

I went towards the closet and pull my long sleeve oversized white sweater then a maong short pati na rin pala ang undergarments na kailangan ko saka medyas.

"D-dito ka magbibihis?" he asked.

"Psh. Asa." I said as I smirked at him bago lumabas sa kwarto dala ang mga damit ko saka pumasok muli sa bathroom at doon nagbihis.

I head back to the kitchen to check the process of the soup.

"Sakto tapos na ang soup. Mind to get some bowl?" sabi naman nya saka nagbuklat sa cabinet ng gamit.

Puro kasi nasa loob ng cabinet ang mga gamit at hindi ito nakalabas sa may sink.

"Here ya go." she said as she pour the soup in it.

"Hmm smell so good huh..." Tita Esmeralda complement to Jane's soup.

"One of my specialty." Jane proudly said.

Tumikim naman muna si Tita Esme ng soup tapos ay tumango-tango.

"It really taste good. Halatang handa ng mag-asawa." she said as she smiled and looks at Jane then Perseus. "Perseus, I think Jane is going to be a good wife to you. Huh?"

"M-mom." saway ni Perseus at halata ang pagkairita sa boses nya.

"Why? I think there's nothing wrong 'bout what I said right?" patay malisyang sabi ni Tita Esme.

"I'm sure my Andromeda helps cooking it, right?" Perseus said and sniff the scent of the soup with a smile on his face.

I am so doomed.

"Actually, I don't." I said trying to hide my doomed tone.

Perseus' smile fades but he immediately put it back as he looks at me. " O-oh. A-ayos lang. Soup doesn't change how much I love you anyways."

Shit. Hindi ko alam kung kikiligin ba ako ngayon or it's still the wrong time but by what he say it feels like na pinaglaban na nya ako. But still I felt so doomed dahil hinayaan kong ipakita ni Jane ang kakayahan nya kesa sa akin.
