The air was warmer than the previous month. Less thick clothes, I assumed. The birds were chirping, hopping from one brittle twig to another of a peach tree. Sadly, the tree was still lacking of leaves but the buds were beginning to appear. The atmosphere was much lighter, brushing off the depressing and intense cold winter which just leave-taking. The smell of pollens permeating the air and brief drizzles every now and then, just give in the unique taste of the season. It was a beautiful season, really - but not for all. Definitely, not for him. He didn't fancy this time of the year. Blame it on the pollens! With constant runny nose and sneeze everyday, it would be the worst part of the year. And I don't blame him for the strong dislike towards spring. But...
It had been 5 years. 5 freaking years.
When it all ended... All the excitement and glamorous, now, was merely a history. It was a phenomenon back then, and we were at the peak of the world, despite fully aware that it would only be a short-run. Nevertheless, it was a time of our lives. It was...
Everyone had moved on. He did, perhaps. And that's how I thought all this while, until...
An invitation arrived.
BigHit.
Sounds familiar? I chuckled to myself. After years adjusting back to what was deemed of normal life, away from the lights and attention, it never crossed my mind, that I would be reliving the life that I already left.
I know, it wouldn't be the same. We are not idols anymore. And heck, we are not even that young anymore! I bet everyone had changed. It wasn't something we could hold off. Inevitable.
Is it wrong, to be hopeful, that, perhaps, something would've not change?
There is an old saying;
Ending is not truly an end. It is a new beginning, just like spring.
New beginning...
It is not wrong to be hopeful, I hope...
