Please don't copy my work.

The labyrinth of my own devices,

A twisting turning taxing trap

voices screaming and demanding

They’re all my own.

How can I get away?

they scream “You’re not good enough.”

I can only tremble and cry.

they call out “Look at that wide load.

Bet she had seconds again.”

I can’t eat any more.

Why are they so mean?

they hurt me, I have

cuts all over my arms.

I just want it to stop.

they get in my face and yell

“Why are you even here?

Why don’t you kill yourself.”

They grab me.

No please don’t

they push me towards my

fathers gun case.

it’s locked, I don’t know the code.

they drag me to the pool.

the doors are closed, I don’t have a key.

please, just leave me alone.

they laugh and hold up my sisters belt.

“Tie this around your neck,

and jump off that tree.”

they guide it around my neck, and push me off.

the branch is too weak, it breaks.

they stop laughing,

they’re mad at me.

the gun case was locked.

the pool doors were closed.

the tree branch was too weak.

What are they going to do next?

they grab a razor

and slide it slowly

across my skin,

they press down hard.

it burns

each mark

they create

I just want to be happy.

they smile and

tell me “Good Bye.”

I smile back

it is after all,

my brain.
