Chapter 1: the News

Renesmee's point of view

"Mum can you put your shield around Jacob and i when we go downstairs?" i asked my mum

"Why?" she asked looking at me puzzled

"We need to tell you all something and i don't want dad to know before everyone else."

"OK sweetheart. I will."she told me

As i was walking out of the room i remembered something."Oh and mum,"

"yes sweetheart" " Can you put it around aunt Alice too?" "OK"She agreed.

Once she agreed i went to my room to get Jacob.

I knocked on the door and went in to find my husband laying down on the bed looking at the ceiling.I went and sat down on the bed beside him and grabbed his hand.

"You ready to do this?" I asked him

He turned around to face me.

"If you're ready then i am ready" he told me and smiled.

I returned the smile and got up off the bed pulling him with me. We walked down the stairs slowly. Not wanting to do what we will have to do. When we finally reached the bottom of the steps i told Jacob to go and get comfortable. I turned around and yelled " family meeting" even though i knew everyone would have heard me even if i just whispered it. In five seconds flat every one was in front of me . I turned around and ushered everyone to the living room. When i got there i went and took a seat by Jacob on the love seat. Once everybody was seated by there mate they all looked at me expectantly. My father looked a little frustrated. Probably because he couldn't hear my thoughts.

" Renesmee why can't i hear Alice's ,Jacob's ,or your thoughts?"he asked me sounding frustrated.

"Because I asked mum to put her shield around us so that you wouldn't know what we are going to tell you before we say it." I told him

" OK then."He said sounding a little suspicious.

As i was about to explain . The door rang. I got up to get it and there in front of me was Seth,Leah,Sam,Jared,Quil,Paul,Collins,Embry ,and Brandy(the new female wolf).

"Hey guys. Come on in." I told them. When they came in i saw Aunt Rose stiffen. "What are the mutts doing here?" she hissed.

The pack growled at her and Uncle Emmett crouched protectively in front of her.

"They need to hear what i am about to say." I told them."Grandpa is it ok if they are here?" i asked him. He nodded and Jared ,Embry,Quil,Brandy, and Collin all went to take a seat in the kitchen, Leah and Seth sat down on the floor,and Sam and Paul leaned against opposite sides of the door frame.

I went and sat back down by Jacob.

"As i was saying.Me and Jacob have some news to tell you all.But before we tell you all we need Mum,Dad,Aunt Rose,Uncle Em, and Uncle Jazz to promise me that you will keep your calm."

After they all promised i continued. " Well as you all know, me and Jacob have been together for about 18 years. And you all know that i am a big girl and can make my own decisions. And like my mum i am to stubborn to change my decisions." I stalled.

" Renesmee honey stop stalling and get on with it." My mother told me

" Ok.....What i'm trying to say is......." I took a deep breath and said "I'm pregnant"

As soon as the words were out of my mouth the room went quiet and it seemed like every head in the room turned toward my father.Even though he was a vampire he seemed to change colors.
