A/N Hey I'm back with another special that's more for me than it is for you XD. But anyway enjoy this thing that I might get into more later in the story.

Eris POV (oooh...new)

"Hey, Eris Holmes, right?" Eris looked up from her book to glare at the person who dared to speak to her. She was right in the middle of studying Latin so she could decipher old Roman texts more accurately, making her fluent in six languages.

Eris sat in her usual corner of the school library between two shelves full of history books. She was used to the faded, glossy spines of the books looking at her while she studied; used to the peaceful fortress of solitude she had found for herself. What she was not used to seeing there, however, was a boy with big blue eyes, messy black hair, and a bashful smile.

"Eris Holmes-Watson, if you're going to embarrass yourself at least do it correctly." Eris snapped. She hated it when people ignored the fact that she had two last names she was proud of simply because they knew it meant she had two dads.

The boy's eyes widened, taking on a look of horror "Yes! I mean I'm sorry, really sorry, I didn't mean to offend you I just..." He trailed off, his face red.

Eris looked the boy over. He was a senior judging by his permanent library pass that was clenched tightly in his fist in all its laminated glory. He had just gotten out of gym class and there was sweat near the roots of his hair, though it was evident he'd made an effort to clean himself up. Obviously, he had planned to come up to her because there were scuffs on his shoes from running suggesting that he hadn't wanted to miss her at the library. All of this added up to one outcome: He wanted to ask her out.

Silently, Eris observed the most fatal hits she could land in her position in case things got out of hand. Which they most likely would since most of the boys at her school were foolish scum.

"What's your name?" Eris complied in a bored voice, turning her attention back to the book in her hands. Her observation had taken exactly five seconds, her record was three and her Papa's was one and a half but then again Eris didn't want to waste any more energy on the boy with the blue eyes.

Said eyes brightened, turning them into a vibrant sky blue. "Stellan Magpie. I saw that you came here every day and wanted to ask you..." he took a deep breath.

"Ask me what, spit it out before it burns your tongue." Her voice was flat and though it looked like she was fully immersed in her book a part of her was listening so she knew when to strike. At sixteen she still hadn't learned how to hold back her fighting reflex. There just didn't seem to be a point.

"I wanted to ask if I could join you." Stellan said softly, his voice quiet so Eris had to strain to listen.

This made her look up from the Latin textbook at the boy next to her. But this time, differently, like her Doda said you looked at people when you first met them. Not as a client or suspect, but as a person.

Now, in this new light, Eris noticed that those blue eyes were quite lovely to look at and held equal sparks of loyalty, hope, and passion for everything and anything. He was tall and a bit skinny but the form of his face somehow made it suit him. He wore a simple polo that matched his eyes and worn gray-ish jeans. And Stellan's smile was beautiful, his bow-like lips pulled at the corners into a modest curve that made Eris's heart skip a beat.

That's when she snapped out of her trance and realized he was not an ordinary boy. He was different, handsome but beautiful, confident but humble, he obviously liked Eris but he was being respectful. Her emotional observation concluded that he was worth a shot. Maybe that's what made her say what she said next,
