Malcolm watched his darling bride sleep. He didn't know he could be so happy with someone. He thought he'd spend his life alone and then Meagan came along. He knew now that not only did he not love her, he might not have even liked her.
He knew love now. He loved his wife. He'd give up his own life just so hers could be extended. This was the hardest thing he'd ever had to go through. He loved his woman so much and if they weren't careful, he'd lose her.
That made his heart ache. He didn't know how he was going to live without her and her slow smiles and her girlish giggles. Her luminous olive eyes and lush pink pout. Her dark silky hair and sand colored skin. Her dry wit and sharp tongue. Her stern yet silly nature.
He was going to miss her with everything in him and wasn't sure if he could let her die if the choice was his. Then again, how could he harm his babies?
Every time they had an appointment (every week) to check on the twins, they got pictures and they were getting bigger and more defined. He just knew they were going to look like him.
It filled him with pride that they were thriving even though they were in a dangerous environment.
Marceline Anne still hadn't grown but the tumor had. All three were fighting for space within her tiny body. The doctors were very concerned. But she only said that she was leaving it up to her creator.
Malcolm felt deep sorrow and rage at those words but his father thought she was a hero. He waxed poetry about the sacrifice she was making. Malcolm worried that they were romanticizing the situation but Marceline Anne explained that she wasn't afraid of death and that it'd been a long time coming.
She said that although she'd finally found something to live for, she was ready. Whenever she did go, she was at peace with it.
Malcolm was unsure if her reason to live was the twins or maybe something or someone more. He was scared to ask.
But as he laid next to her, he couldn't find it within himself to care if she loved him back. He loved her. And he had to tell her.

Marceline Anne drank the funky drink her doctor had given her. She had to drink it so she could take a test later. She'd had to fast so the drink would work. The test was for gestational diabetes.
The drink was an odd flavor but she drank it straight down before throwing the bottle away.
"Are you sure you can't have anything?" Manny asked again.
"You're a bad influence." She smirked.
"It's criminal to force a pregnant woman to fast!"
She chuckled. "I have to go to work. We'll see you after class."
Now that neither had after-school activities (excluding glee), the teens came home after their last high school class concluded. Glee would be over with that week as they had Nationals in New York.
"Are you sure you don't want lunch?" He wanted to make sure.
"Yes. We can pick something up before class." She reiterated.
He huffed. "Fine!"
She giggled before leaving the kitchen.

Malcolm knocked on the door before him before opening it. "Hey baby. Are you ready?"
Marceline Anne finished putting away her things before going to him and hugging him. "I wish I could tell you my good news but it's patient doctor privilege."
