Marceline Anne blinked awake. It was very dark but the moon was fighting through the clouds. She took a deep breath and turned her head to view her slumbering husband. She traced his features with an incredibly light touch.

She opened her mouth to whisper the forbidden words when her entire being seized. She blew out a short breath when it was over and tried to focus on her task but then she felt liquid pouring out of her.

Luckily her... overpreparedness prepared her for accidents. She was wearing an adult diaper.

She checked under the sheets. Yeah, she put it back on. It was the only thing she was wearing. Besides a tall sleeping Asian.

She smiled at the thought of how he liked to sleep right on top of her. She didn't move, savoring the feel of him until the stiffening pain made her seize up.

She pushed at Malcolm until she had to kiss him awake. "Wake up, Daddy."

He sung in his sleep and did so now even though he was waking up. "What's wrong, baby?"

"I think the twins are coming."

Malcolm drove through the streets carefully. There was no traffic at one in the morning. He could have sped but he was scared of anything happening to his family so he drove with sense.

Karou and Madeline were excited in the rear back of the SUV. They were chattering away.

He made it to the agreed upon hospital and parked in in-patient's parking lot before helping his wife walk to the emergency.

A guard working buzzed them through. "Do you need the emergency?"

"We think she's in labor." Malcolm held Marceline Anne's hand.

The guard looked her over. "I'll call a nurse."

"Just squeeze my hand." Malcolm kissed the back of her hand.

"Owie." Marceline Anne hated her hormones. She felt like cursing but the only thing to cross her lips was that weak word.

A nurse showed up with a wheelchair.

Malcolm helped Marceline Anne sit then was handed paperwork.

They all went upstairs and an on call obstetrician checked the mother-to-be out.

Everyone waited for what he'd say.

"You are progressing quite quickly." He frowned.

"Is that bad?" Marceline Anne asked.

"Not at all." He smiled at her. "It just means this might be over quickly."

She surely hoped so as she smiled back at him.

"Do you want to deliver naturally?"

"No thank you."

He couldn't get over how sweet she was. "Okay, I'll put the order in. Your doctor should be in soon."

"Thank you." She waved.

Malcolm lifted an unamused brow.

The doctor kept his giggles to himself. He was just the same with his husband. "Bye now."

Madeline approached the bed as he left. "Are the babies coming?"

"I think so, Glowworm." Marceline Anne pinched her chin.

Madeline hugged her.

Malcolm's irate mood slipped away.
