~August 2019~

Harry lifted Archie from the co-sleeper in enough time to prevent Meghan from waking. He nestled him into the crook of his arm and snuck out of the room, the baby was awake, but not wailing yet. He had a lot to do, so in between warming a bottle for his son, Harry also pulled the pram from the hall into the kitchen. Sitting down on the armchair, the father began to feed Archie, he gulped it down as Harry flattened the wisps of hair that were forming.

"There we go Arch," He placed the empty bottle into the sink, and led the baby gently into the monochrome pushchair with his snuggly owl to keep him company. Harry proceeded to compile the presents he'd wrapped last night onto the dining table, before gathering his ingredients. If all went well,
his wife would get a delicious birthday breakfast.

He was going to do her some avocado toast (a famously complicated dish, Harry's culinary skills were really going to be put to the test); a fruit salad, again ridiculously hard to make; a green smoothie, okay he was cheating a bit there and using the one she'd made yesterday, and some yoghurt, again that he would move from a pot to a bowl.

Once he'd successfully cut all the fruit and carefully presented it in different bowls, it was getting dangerously close to Meghan waking up. Harry still had to write her card from him, oversee the Instagram post, as well as prepare her card from Archie, speaking of, he was beginning to whine in the pushchair.

"Come on little man, you can't wake up mummy now!" The ginger carefully brought the three-month-old to his chest, deciding the best option was to put him on the play mat; maybe he would find more things to do on there, plus Harry could watch him whilst doing to other jobs.

Penning an emotional, beautiful letter to his wife, he then scribbled in one that was from Archie. He'd also bought her some bath products that were from him.

"What's going on in here?"

"Nooo! We were supposed to be surprising you!" Harry looked over towards the door, he was holding the little baby in the air over his head.

"I just woke up and both of you were gone!"

"We were preparing this, anyway, happy birthday my love," Harry rested Archie in one of his arms and jumped up to give his wife a hug and a kiss.

"Thank you," She smiled, feeling overwhelmed with affection feeling her son's little hand press against her shoulder in between his parents.

"Archie and I have made you breakfast with prezzies!" Meghan's eyes drifted to the table, where there were a couple of gifts, as well as a breakfast set for two.

"Awh, thank you baby." She kissed Archie's chubby cheek, and Harry passed him to her.

"Come on it'll go cold," He pulled out a chair and pointed to the pram situated next to her seat.

"Hey I told you not to get anything for me," Meghan shook her head, scanning the perfectly wrapped gifts after she'd put Archie into the pushchair and sat down.

"Meg, you knew I was going to do something, come on..." He grinned as she took a bite from the toast.

"You've even written a card," Marvelling, the brunette picked up the two envelopes balanced on the wood.
