Chapter 1: Nerd Alert

As I take my first steps as a senior in my high school I couldn't help but feel like Rose Tyler (from doctor who) when she first stepped into the Tardis. It was like a whole new experience. I was now part of the oldest kids in the school.

I sigh and continue walking down the hallway. A little fact about my school: it's not like those usual high school where "we're all united together" or "school is a safe place where you always have a friend". No. My school is like one of those stereotype school with clicks and all. Jocks, preps, emos, druggies, you name it, we got it. As for me, I don't really have a click. I'm my own person; I don't need some click to make me feel important.

My name is Cosette. Weird name I know. That's why I go by Cozy. And I am a fan-girl.

I walk past the group of cheerleader, avoiding eye contact with them. In my opinion, they are the worst click of them all. Then, out of nowhere, I practically get tackled.

"Cozzzzzyyy!" A cheerful voice chirped. Then I realize who was hugging me so tightly.

"Rollin! Rory! Haha hey guys!"

"Cozy! We missed you girl!" Rollin says as they release me. Rollin and Rory are twins and two of my good friends. I met them last year and we were instant friend. I'm like their Senpai. They're nerds like me, just a little less....willing to express it. One thing I love about them is that when we're together, they act just like the Hitachiin twins from Ouran. I smile to myself as we chat about random junk. I few moments later I arrive to my first period class and we part ways.

The rest of the day is full of lecture about class rules, disclosure documents and get-to-know you games. School couldn't have ended sooner. I head to the library and find all my friends already there. Last year we formed a little secret club of ours...sorta. What we mostly do is just sit around, talk about anime and other geeky stuff, and really just be our selves. I high five both Rollin and Rory and turn my attention to the rest of the group.

"Hey Cozy! Good to see you again. Nice shirt by the way." Lily says mellowly. Lily is in the "hippy/vegan" click. She's super chill and always wears strange and very organic-looking clothing. I look down at my totoro shirt and smile back up at her.

"Thanks Lily." I say nodding. Winree suddenly runs up to my side excitedly.

"Cozy! Have you seen this picture yet? I found it on tumblr." She moves her tablet closer to me so i could see the clever little pokemon meme on it. I laugh a little at look over to her.

"Nice Winree." I say slightly laughing. Winree got adopted from Japan a few years ago, and is apart of the "smart academic" click. I finally look over to Cole as he is silently reading the second book in the Divergent series.
"Hey Cole." I say casually. Without looking up from his book, he gives a slight wave and continues reading. He's pretty quiet most of the time but is super cool. He has black hair that practically covers his eyes, lip and ear piercings, and mostly just wears black. If you can't tell already, he's part of the "emo/goth" click. We're an odd bunch but we all have something in common that brings us together. We're all nerds.
I plop down on the love seat next to Rollin, dangling my legs over the edge of the arm rest and resting my head on his lap. Now before you get any ideas, no I do not have a crush on Rollin nor Rory. They are like my brothers. And now you're probably thinking "Ooo that must mean she likes Cole!". Once again, no. Cole is actually gay so that wouldn't even work out really.

"Who do you you think would win in a fight? Dumbledore or Gandalf?" Rory says curiously. We all pause what we're doing and look at each other.

"Gandalf" we all say at the same time and then start laughing. I look over and see Cole staring at Rollin and smiling. I smirk and pull out my phone.
