Brennen's pov
Delirious walked into the waiting room the next morning and came over. "What's going on?" I asked.
"They're about to wake Alex up and um after she is released we're probably going to get our stuff together and go back to North Carolina." I teared up.
"What?"
"Luke and I feel like it's a good idea to head home for a while. Everything that has happened to Alex and Logan has never been this bad before. It's not you guys though so don't think that."
"Can I go see her?" I asked, my voice cracking.
"Yeah. Come on." We walked into Alex's room. She was awake, but very out of it. Logan was leaning over her crying. I walked over to Alex and held her hand.
"Smii7y?" Alex mumbled. Smii7y walked over.
"Yeah, A?" He walked over to her other side.
"I'm a bird!"
"Alex, what the fuck is wrong with you?" Smii7y asked laughing.
"Everything."
"How you feeling, baby?" I asked.
"Tired..."
"Go to sleep then," Luke said.
"No!" She started to pout. He put his hands up in defense.
"A-Alex. I love you," Logan said.
"I love you too, Lo." There was a knock on the door and Alex's doctor walked in.
"Ah, I see you're awake. How do you feel, Ms. Patterson?"
"Tired..."
"It's the medication. We've prescribed you some additional medications to help you deal with all of your problems. Did your father talk to you about the other alternative?"
"Nope." Luke rubbed the back of his head.
"Why not?"
"Like I said, it's not happening. I know you're doing your job, but the answer is no."
"Okay."
"Dad, what's he talking about?" Logan asked.
"I'll tell you in a minute."
"I understand that the same thing was offered for Logan?" the doctor questioned.
"Yes."
"Dad, it's 8:32," Logan said tugging on Luke's shirt.
"What's 8:32?" I asked. She shot me a glare.
"Sorry for asking a question."
"8:32 is breakfast time," she said raising her voice. "It's time for breakfast, Dad. I need breakfast," she said getting impatient.
"Brian, take her to get some food." She walked off with Brian rambling about the time.
"What's one minute?" Luke asked me, venom lacing his voice. I stayed quiet and backed up a bit.
"What the hell happened?" Sam asked.
"Dad...stop being rude," Alex mumbled. Luke growled. Logan and Brian walked back in.
"Dad, it's 8:36. I missed breakfast. They wouldn't let me have any. What do I do?" she asked starting to shake. Alex jumped.
"Don't worry, Lo, I'll go get you some," Colby said. Logan nodded.
"You okay, Alex?" I asked.
"Flashback..."
"It's okay, angel. They'll stop soon," Luke said. Alex looked over at Luke and sighed.
"Alex, never again," I said hugging her. She hugged me back.
"Yeah." I kissed her cheek. She smiled. The doctor came back with a note.
"So, this is a list of all her new medications. You can pick them up at the local pharmacy. Here are her discharge papers. You are all free to go." Colby walked back in the room with food for Logan.
"Thank you," she said. "Wait, does this mean I have to eat lunch and dinner fifteen minutes later than what I normally do, Dad? I'd have to adjust my whole schedule." Luke put his hand over her mouth. Alex gave Logan a weird look.
"Lo, what kind of plans did you have. You've been in the hospital, princess," Colby said wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Can we leave yet?" Alex asked.
"Yes, Alex. Get dressed," Luke said as we all walked out of the room. Alex walked out a few minutes later with a piece of paper.
"What's that?" Del asked.
"Um my new prescriptions." She handed Jon the paper.
"Holy shit," he muttered.
"What?" Luke asked. He handed the paper to Luke and his eyes widened.
"Is it bad? I haven't looked at it," Alex asked.
"No, there's just a lot, angel," Luke said. Alex nodded. We all walked out of the hospital and got into the cars. Logan had to lay in an odd way because of her stitches. Alex put her headphones in and listened to some music. Luke drove us to the pharmacy. Colby asked Logan if she was okay like every thirty seconds. It was slightly annoying, to be honest.
"Hey, Colby, I get your concerned for Logan but can you stop asking if she's okay so much?" Del asked.
"Sorry, Del," he said quietly.
"It's fine." We got back to Mini's house and went to the living room. We all sat together and Luke sighed.
"What's wrong, Dad?" Alex asked.
"We're going back to North Carolina in the morning," he said shortly.
"Okay...wait does that mean Mama Marcel can come visit!?"
"Yes, Marcel can visit," he said. I started to tear up. I didn't wanna lose Alex.
"I'm not going," Logan mumbled. Alex looked at Logan confused.
"Why not?" Logan looked at Colby.
"Logan, you're going," Luke said sternly.
"Luke...why don't they come too?" Del asked. Alex sighed. Luke tensed.
"I'll have to think about that. That is, if you guys even want to come," he said.
"I know I do," Colby said.
"Me too," I said. Alex sighed again and went upstairs. I followed her up there. She went to her room and started getting her stuff together. I knocked on the wall. She looked up at me then went back to packing her things. "Do you not want me there?" I asked. She stopped.
"It's not like that."
"Then what is it?"
"It's just normally after stuff like this happens it's just me, Logan, our dad, and unclelirious. Unless some of the other guys come over like Brian and Smii7y. It's not that I don't want you there."
"I won't go if you really don't want me there, Alex. I just want to make sure you're okay," I said rubbing her shoulders.
"I want you to come." She sat on her bed and put her head in her hands. "I just hate that I put my Dad and everyone through this stuff."
"Baby, it's gonna be okay."
"But what if it's not?"
"Hey, look it will be. It might take some time, but it will be. I know you can do it. You're so strong, baby girl," I said wrapping my arms around her.
"Thanks, Brennen."
"You're welcome, beautiful," I said kissing her shoulder.
"What you want to do?"
"I don't know, love. I just want to be with you." Her phone started ringing so she got up and answered it.
