The Sorting

Draco's P.O.V
He and Hermione had been on the boat with a boy named Neville and a girl named Luna. They were both very quiet, but he didn't mind. He finally had friends, who accepted him for who he was. He had never felt like this before, but he liked it. He hoped Hermione would be in Slytherin. Whenever he was around Hermione he felt like his heart was fluttering, he felt safe.

Severus' P.O.V
He saw Draco standing very close to a girl with bushy hair and hazlenut eyes. The way he looked at her...

The girl; Granger, took a while to be sorted. Finally, she was sorted into Gryffindor. As she walked over to the Gryffindor table Draco had a look of devastation on his face. He knew that look.

The youngest Weasley boy was talking to her, but she was ignoring him. He was honestly worried for Draco. What if Hermione rejecyed him, and it was the same thing all over again? He decided that he would do everything in his power to give Draco and Hermione a happy ending.

Draco's P.O.V
He was devastated when he and Hermione were seperated. But she made me feel better when she gave me a sad smile from across the hall. He saw Ron touch her arm, and she punched him in the shoulder. She was so strong, it made him smile when she stood up to people like that.

Hermione's P.O.V
Hermione walked away from Draco and over to the Gryffindor table. She smiled at him and he smiled back. She had only known him for a few hours but he already felt like the best friend she ever had. But whenever they were together, she felt... lighter. Like no-one would try to hurt her if he was there.

"Hey Mudblood! Is Malfoy over there your boyfriend?" Ugh, Ron is so annoying "You could do way better than that, me, for example" he touched her arm in what was supposed to be a loving way, she didn't like that, so she punched him in the shoulder and he yelped. That shut him up, she smirked to herself.

She glanced over to the Slytherin table, to find Draco smiling at her, she smiled back as he turned to talk to a boy next to him. Why did she always find herself staring at him? His blue-grey eyes were so mezmirising.

The way Draco looked at her reminded her of the way that her parents looked at each other. Did Draco love her? She hoped so, because she certainly loved him.
