CLEMENTINE'S POV

**the next morning***

I sat up in the bed. my ankle was hurting a little but felt better. I looked around and saw no one. I stood up and limped over to the burnt out fire. there was a small bottle of water. I picked it up and gulped it down.

I looked around. where are they? if something would of happened I would of heard it and woken up. I walked back over to the bed and found my bag by it. I picked it up and opened it. I picked out my gun.

BANG!

A banging sound came from one of the ials. I walked along the top of the ials checking each one as I limped past it.

I got to the last ial and found nothing. I started making my way back to our mini camp. I sat down on the bed.

"Where are you guys?" I whispered to myself.

SMASH!

Kenny can flying through a window hitting the floor with full impacted . A walker pinning him down. Ben ran in after him and pulled the walker off him. I stood up and put my bag on my shoulder.

"KENNY!" I yelled. they both looked at me then back at the glass. walkers started pouring in. Kenny and Ben ran towards me and Kenny picked me up and we ran to the other end of the store. we ducked down at the end ial.

Kenny held me and said "Clem I'm sorry I'm so so sorry"

"Kenny what's happening?"

Kenny mumbled something I could not hear.

"What?"

"Guys they are coming" Ben said worry dripping from his voice.

Kenny looked at me as tears slowly filled my eyes.

"Clem Oh god I love you so damn much! I love you like love love and you make me smile when I don't even want to! without you I would go insane and your all I need! I love you Clem! I just need you to know that before I go"

"Kenn-" I never got to finish that sentence because Kenny got up and ran for the walkers drawing them away.

I got up and went to run after Kenny but Ben grabbed me from behind and started dragging me away.

"KENNYYYYYYY!" I screamed.

Ben started dragging me away to the fire exit door. Ben got me out the door then put me over his shoulder and ran. after a hour he put me down. I punch him in the face. Ben hit the floor from the force of the punch.

"Okay I deserved that" he said.

"Your damn right you deserve that you son of a BITCH KENNY IS PROBABLY DEAD RIGHT NOW AND I NEVER GOT TO TELL HIM HOW I FEEL ABOUT HIM I LOVED HIM BEN I LOVED HIM!" I yelled at him.

"HE MADE THAT CHOICE TO RUN CLEM I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT CHOICE!"

"I'm done with you" I growled. the I stalked off.

KENNY'S POV

Me and Ben are sitting by the fire. It's morning and the fire is really dying down. clementine is still sleeping.

"Wanna go take a look outside?" Ben asked.

"Yeah okay" I said and me and Ben got up and walked over to the door and went outside.

"So Kenny can I tell you something?"

"Yeh sure" I said as we sat down I the steps just out the front.

"I really like clementine like a lot but the thing is I know you like her and I can she that and when you look at her you can really see the love you have for her"

Wow.

"I do love her and I know it's so , so wrong. I watched her grow up. I looked after he as a child and it would be so wrong if we got together"

"the world has gone to shit Kenny who cares? even if the world does get back she will be older anyway"

"Yeah your right"

"let's head back in" said Ben standing up. we stood up .

BANG!

Walkers started pouring out of the forest. I started walking backwards then a zombie came out of no where and forcefully pushed me backward. I went flying through the glass door of the store.

Ben ran in after me and pulled the walker off me.

"KENNY!" Clementine yelled. Me and Ben looked at clem then back at the glass. walkers started pouring in. Me and Ben ran towards clem and I picked her up and we ran to the other end of the store. we ducked down at the end ial.

I held clem and said "Clem I'm sorry I'm so so sorry"

"Kenny what's happening?" She ask worry in her eyes.

I mumbled " I'm sorry"

"What?"

"Guys they are coming" Ben said worry dripping from his voice.

I looked at clem as tears slowly fillers her eyes and you could tell she was scared shitless.

"Clem Oh god I love you so damn much! I love you like love love and you make me smile when I don't even want to! without you I would go insane and your all I need! I love you Clem! I just need you to know that before I go" I confessed.

Then I stood up and ran towards the walkers , I heard Clem scream my name but I had to ignore this , this will buy her time to get out and survive.
