I did not want them to become suspicious so I let May Luo show me to there spare room. It was dusty and smelled rotten but it was better then a jail cell.

"Thank you" I croak as she finished placing blankets on the bed.

By this time I was almost completely dry.

She only looked at me almost confused. When I go to repeat it she only stares at me.

Maybe she doesn't know english? But I only know a little Japanese so that wouldn't work.

Instead I bow to her and she continues to stare. She mimics my action as her head cocks to the side and an inhuman noise comes from her throat.

As this happens her name is called from the distance and she quickly moves out.

~~~~
I toss over, toss, toss, toss until I tumble onto the hard wood floor banging my gaw upward as my teeth gar sending pain through my skull.
"Oh god" I whisper to myself as I rise from the floor. My tongue was bleeding and my lip was scratched as I could feel the iron flood my mouth. I attempted to wipe it as I stumble out of the room and down the hall.
I don't know when or why but the hall seemed to stretch and go on for miles. It was dark as I used the walls as my support. My head was pounding and my vision was blurry but I squint forcing them to focus on at least something.
"Hello?" I call out to the darkness and get no response.
"Hello?" I begin again as I heard movement followed by a gust of wind.
I hear low growls as something massive pants behind me. I turn slowly around to face what was now in front of me. Darkness. But I could feel the hot breath of this creature so I know it's there. As I inhale sharply it all stops.
I let out the blow and as I did a white dog head emerges coming straight for my head...
~
My eyes shot up as my heart beats abnormally fast. My head is spinning and I could feel my nerves on edge as my body shook violently.
It felt so real. Even the blood.
I look around to find that I'm not even laying down, only sitting upright on the bed.
That was my queue.
To go.
I rise up and stumble out of the room and into the darkness until I got into familiar territory. I recognize the large room but everything looks different.
There is no little table, no mats. The pictures were there, but they were peeling off the walls. The saying now said
He's coming again.
The shojis were coming off the hinges and they were broken and the floors were slabbed on concrete. I step into the room as the moon light leeks in from an unknown hole in the wall.
The floor was submerged in water as I glid across it.
"Where are you going friend?" It was the man.
He turns on the light. And I jump at the suddenness of light.
"I-I.. was leaving"
"Oh, but you must repay your meal and room? I can't just let you leave I'm afraid."
I swallow hard as I try to think quick on my feet.
"But I can come back?" He sighs at this disappointingly.
"But we both know that that is never promised your magisty."
As he says this the light dies and a sharp flash is seem. In the darkness a growling is heard followed by a loud thump. I take this chance to make a run for it out an into the hallway.
"Why are you leaving?" I hear the soft voice call to me.
Ahead was the woman but her back was to me as her tattoos lay exposed. They were of kitsune as he showed his teeth.
My eyes trail off to her lower back and see a red tail as her veins nearly popped from her pale skin.
Her hair was no longer beautiful, it was falling apart and the pretty crimson butterflies were now horseflies and bees.
The setting began to melt as the make shift hallway now just became a dripping mess of mud.
"We made all this for you queen, you do not like it? All this was to lure you away from his protection, so we could have you to our selves." Her voice wasn't sweet but sounded horrifying as she turned to face me.
She to was horrifying as her veins pulsed in her face as the skin cracked and slowly began to chip away.
The growling emerged again as the woman swiftly grabs me.
"Stay back" she says to the darkness as she holds her claw like nails to my neck and the setting changes once again.
A gold light surrounded us followed by a soft chant buried in the distance.
The light revealed what was hidden in the darkness. The dog from my dreams.
It stood eight feet and was littered with ancient tattoos of sayings and symbols. Their eyes were a ocean blue and its breath hot and heavy.
I realized this was the thing that followed me in the cave. It wasn't just any dog.
It was the fox. Kitsune. This was his god form. The one in the pictures.
Kitsune.
My eyes widen as we step backwards. The chant went on and as long as it did it threw him off and he couldn't get to me.
He eventually let out a roar and it all vanishes and he grabs the woman fast knocking me to the ground.
I stay petrified for a second before ruining towards the exit. I could hear his deep footsteps in the ground, running, running for me.
I burst through the door only to be in the arms of yet another person. I struggle but the grip is strong. I can see the fox coming through the entrance only to stop cold.
The person turns me around to face the fox with my mouth covered by their hands.
"No no no~ this is no cat and mouse game here, no way to treat a lady let alone your wife. You should know better.. you- you beast." It was a man, his voice sounded boyish like as he points a staff with a glowing golden glass ball tip.
"What do you say milady? Shall we go?" Tears filled my eyes as I can see kitsunes fear.
He was afraid. But of what?
And as I vanish into the night I can see his cold eyes. They're blood red now.
