Fitz takes Sophie on a date under the stars

Fitz sat on his large bed, staring at himself in his floor-to-ceiling length mirror. He surveyed his image, and mentally declared that he would always make sure to look good whenever he met with Sophie, whether that be over the imparter, or in person. He laughed as he thought about Sophie would have said: "Fitz, y-you great always look--- I mean look you always great. I mean...you know what I mean.

Not only was Sophie a complete clutz and utter mess, but she also was terrible at talking in general. But she was absolutely adorable whenever she did that. Wait, what? Fitz scolded his subconcious voice for thinking about a friend like that. A really cute friend. He started laughing hysterically but quietly, he knew Biana could be lurking. "What is wrong with me?" he whispered as he flung himself back onto his pillow.

His first date was tonight with Sophie, and his nerves were kicking in. I know, a real shocker. THE Fitz Vacker has never, not once, been on a date. Sure, plenty of obsessed girls had pined for him, but he only had eyes for Sophie. One time, a girl named Roane had vomited on his cape while trying to tell him about her feelings for him. Lets just say it definitely did not have the same effect as when Sophie threw up on him when she got sick. In return, he too vomited, causing quite the commotion in the hallways. He had ended up in the healing center with Roane and ended up being choked by elixirs.

Fitz tried to snap himself out of the trance, before he could dredge up other terrible memories and make him a complete failure in front of Sophie. He did a quick shake down to rid himself of nervous energy, but ended up sweaty and out of breath. So much for getting rid of nervous energy. He released a sigh as he started to gather supplies; a patterned picnic blanket, some of the mashed roots that according to Sophie tasted like meat (how dare she eat meat? vegetarianism is the answer), and some ripplepuffs and custard bursts. She would be in food heaven.

A loud ping on his imparter signalled that it was time for him to leave for the date on the gorgeous hill over a gorgeous valley. The valley had a crystal clear river running through it, and every nook and cranny of the ground was covered in wildflowers and blue grass. There were roses, tulips, and so many other flowers and colors, Fitz could hardly remember them all. He didnt have a photographic memory, after all, so how could he be expected to remember everything?

---- time skip cause im lazy ----

Just as Fitz had finished preparing on the hill, Sophie glittered into view standing in the middle of the grass. She wore a low-cut, frilly, cinch-waisted dress in a brilliant red, complementing her every curve and reflecting off of her golden flecked eyes. How in-Sophie like.

Fitz sighed, beckoning her over with a grin on his face, obviously in awe of her stunning beauty. She smiled and clumsily sat down with a plop and an oof. How VERY Sophie like. She blushed as she smoothed her dress out to keep Biana from exploding when she found out that the dress crinkled up after spending four hours ironing the dress.

"So..." Sophie started after a long silence. "You how are?" Then mentally slapped herself. How dumb am I? I practiced talking before coming, and then I mess up.

Fitz realized she probably was going to keep messing up. And he was too. So instead of suffering through their stuttering and awkwardness, he started to talk to her telepathically. They had talked telepathically in Telepathy, and through basically and literally everything.

Sophie you look really pretty tonight. And always.

Thanks. I really like the flowers. I want to go roll through them and down the hill.

She started laughing. Then they both started giggling for no apparent reason. They ended up with tears of joy and laughter dripping down their faces. Sophie leaned her head on Fitz's lap and stared at his dazzling teal eyes under the dark, glittering sky.

"I love the stars. They're so beautiful tonight. Just like you are." Fitz whispered as her eyes drifted to a close. And then he realized what he had forgotten. The food.
