Serena POV
I wake up to my phone ringing. Groaning I grab it and look at the caller ID. I instantly turned off my phone seeing who it was. All the memories of the day before flooded my mind. Tears welled in my eyes again, but I quickly wiped them away.
"No. No more tears over that bastard...." I say quietly. I stand up and put my phone in my back pocket before grabbing my keys. I have to get out a little to cheer myself up. I leave my apartment and walk down the street to the park, depressed. Thankfully it's still early in the morning so no one is really awake now. Once I reach the park, I sat under a tree and sighed, a few stray tears falling. I just let them fall, not caring if someone sees or not. Suddenly, a shadow is casted over me.
"Please go away....." I say not bothering to looked up.
"Are you alright bella?" A voice says. I recognize that voice.... I look up to see my Italian friend.
"F-Feli....what are you doing here?" I studded wiping the remaining tears away. I stand up and look at him embarrassed that he saw me crying. He gave me a look of sadness
"Bella please tell me what happened? I hate seeing you sad like this. He says leading me to the bench. I sat next to him and sigh
"Yesterday I got in a fight with my friend, well at least he was my friend. He said some really mean things to me and slapped me....." I say holding back tears at the memory. I knew I couldn't say anymore. Hell I'm luckily I didn't spill about who I am.
"How could someone ever hurt you Serena... Your way to kind. He must be blind to have done that to a bella signora (1) like yourself" he says hugging me gently. I smile with a slight blush hugging him back
"Grazie Feli....your such a nice person." I reply
"How about I hang out with you today to help you forget about him" I nod
"Ok. Oh I was wondering. Why are you here so early in the morning? Most people are still asleep." He laughed
"Oh I was having to train with Germany and Japan. I was running and I saw you over here."
"That explains it...well where shall we go?" I ask smiling at the bubbly Italian. He smiles back at me. We walked out of the park and around the town.
3rd Person POV
Serena and Feliciano walked around the shops in town laughing and talking about random things. For the first time, Serena felt like she was normal again. She felt human again and she like it. They went to a small Italian restaurant. They sat across from each other talking about whatever came to their minds.
"Wait so they seriously sent you back to Ludwig in a box with a note on it saying 'Fuck you'?" Serena asked laughing
"Si. Germany didn't even seem fazed about it" he replied smiling, happy she was feeling better than that morning. He didn't know what his friends were talking about when they said something was off about her. She seemed perfectly normal to him
Flashback!~
Italy was sitting with his fellow axis, daydreaming about Serena.
"Italy. Snap out of it. You've been sitting there day dreaming for a while" the German said sternly
"Oh sorry. I was thinking about Serena again. She's so cool! And really pretty too!" Italy replied happily.
"Something just doesn't seem right about her....almost like she's hiding something that she doesn't want anyone to know" Germany told his friend, concerned that something might happen to him if he gets to closets the strange girl.
"I have to agree with Germany. Something is off about her" Japan said, taking the Germans side. Italy looked at them confused
"What do you mean? She seems normal to me. And everyone has something they want to hide. It's just natural." Italy replied taking the mysterious girls side.
"I guess that's true.." Japan replied
"Ja, just be carful around her. We don't know much about her." Germany added. Italy nodded smiling at them
"Ok!" And with that, they continued their meeting like normal. All thinking about the same person, Serena
Back to the present~
He still didn't understand but decided not to dwell on the thought. Once they finished, the duo walked back to Serena apartment. When they reached her place, Serena turned to him, smiling.
"Feli thank you so much for today. If it weren't for you I would have been depressed all day."
"Don't worry about it bella! It's the least I could do for a friend!" She giggled, making the Italians heart skip a beat.
"Ill text you later. Bye Feli!" She said before kissing his cheek lightly and disappearing into the apartment. He stood there for a minute shocked, before a smile made its way to his face. He walked back to his house, smiling and blushing the whole way. What they didn't know was all day, they had been followed...
