Once Upon a time, in a small cottage not too far from a village, but not too deep in the woods. Lived six lonely ladies. Their names were Charissa, Melora, Estella, Radella, Lamia, and Nympha. The women are dear friends and are close with one another. They even have a dog that they've adopted together, an Old English Sheepdog they named Alfie. All six of them are working in a tavern in the village in order to raise the money each lady needs in order to move out of the cottage and into their own homes. But for the time being, they were content with living with each other.

However, they all agreed that something strange was going on in their home. At night, they heard creaking noises from the walls and sometimes they even hear a bit of crying. Alfie was also barking a lot more at certain things. This would go on during the day, but it has happened at night as well. But perhaps the most notable occurrence that has happened is that their things have been vanishing out of mid-air. Which is peculiar because there are no thieves in their area.

What the Six Ladies are unaware of, is that their cottage has something very special, or should I say, someone. Living within the walls of the Six Ladies' cottage, was a beautiful borrower named Arabella. Borrowers are tiny humans who live in a house with humans and they "borrow" their things in order to survive. However, borrowers typically are a group of people. Arabella is an exception. Arabella's parents weren't the greatest of people. They often compared her to their eldest son, Arabella's brother. Making Arabella feel singled out by her own family. Eventually, Arabella's parents had enough of their daughter and decided to kick her out and let her live on her own. That's how she ended up at the Six Ladies' home. Where she's been living in secrecy to everyone but the big beast. Whenever Arabella tries to take something in broad daylight, the big beast barks and frightens her away without the thing she needs. So she has to take things during the night, which is inconvenient for Arabella..

One day, while Radella, Lamia, and Nympha were out of the cottage running errands. Charissa, Melora, and Estella were home cleaning the cottage up. Arabella was watching them through one of the holes in the walls. She watched how the girls were having a lot of fun cleaning with each other and laughing as they were doing it. It made her wish that she had people to do that with.

As some time past Arabella got hungry. She noticed on the table there was a whole plate full of bread crumbs, her favorite. Even though it was risky because the big beast was up and so were the three girls, she was willing to risk it. Arabella grabbed her grappling hook she made with a rubber band and a tiny fishing hook and went to the nearest hole that would take her to the table. When she arrived, she ate a piece of bread crumbs, then put the rest of them in her sash. As soon as she finished, the big beast found her and loudly barked at her. Frightened, she quickly took her grappling hook and went back up to the hole. However, a button from her clothes accidentally came off and fell on the table during take off.

Alfie's barking made the three girls go over to where he was.

"Alfie! Stop barking!" Melora scolded, "There's nothing there you silly dog!"

"Why does Alfie always have to bark so loudly?" Estella questioned, "It's making me go insane!"

When Charissa went over to try to calm the pup, she noticed that the plate that should have had bread crumbs on it was completely empty.

"Estella! Melora! Come hither!" She said to the others.

"What's wrong?" Estella asked her.

The others saw what Charissa saw, that the plate that once had scraps from a loaf a bread they had for lunch was completely wiped cleaned.

"Did Alfie do this?" Melora wondered out loud.

"No he couldn't have, there isn't a trace of dog slobber on this plate." Charissa replied.
